We used care services for my loved one through Golden Oak Care and it was a poor experience. The caregiver was protective of herself. She didn't pay attention to the patient's needs. She put her private needs before the patient's needs. The way that I understood it, the patient's needs were to be priority while on shift. After the first week, she communicated that she could not come the following day, which was previously scheduled. Because of these points, I do not recommend them. The front desk was very attentive, but I asked for consistency and regularity with the caregiver which failed in the first week.

Peace of Mind
[Name removed] at Golden Oak is super helpful and accommodating. His team of caregivers has provided our family with the peace of mind we needed for the care of my aunt. Grateful to have been connected to this service, as my aunt's quality of life is important to our family. From keeping her company, assisting her with her everyday needs and doctor's appointments.

Frequently Asked Questions
about Golden Oak Care - Etobicoke

A Place for Mom has scored Golden Oak Care - Etobicoke 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
