Very helpful!!

I have to say, [name removed] the director at Goldstar, is a wonderful and knowledgeable person and helped me tremendously in placing my 86 year old father, who has dementia, into a nursing home. I had no idea how to navigate this situation. Thank you [name removed]!!

Disappointing experience

I hesitate to write this review because I do not want to disparage any company. But I feel others should know of my experience. The head of Gold Star spent 1 1/2 hours in our home explaining Gold Star services. We were very impressed with her and decided to schedule companionship services with Gold Star. When we asked to be scheduled with a companion, we were told we would hear by the next day about possible companions chosen to match the needs of our loved one. It never happened. The only potential companion she found had not been vaccinated against Covid-19. We were willing to consider any companion--age, gender, race, etc., was not an issue for us. But we did require that the companion be vaccinated. Despite my several attempts to follow up, I have heard nothing more. The head of the company will not return my calls. We have reluctantly had to move on to a different agency for companion care.

Top Notch Company

My mom was coming home after a very painful injury and was unable to do anything for herself. The staff at Gold Star Home Care was wonderful, came over the same day and had a wonderful caregiver there by that evening. Without those caregivers coming every morning and evening I don't know how my family and I would have been able to do this. I owe that staff a debt of gratitude for all that they did. My mother is doing amazing now and she refers to those caregivers as her angels. Amazing organization
