  • Feels like home.

For elderly people with memory issues this is a great place. It has a country living feel. It is very clean and smells good. Staff is very friendly. The community felt very homey. They have their own apartments and lots of common areas to spend time in. Fountain View really fit my aunt’s style of relaxed living. The food is great, she really likes it. They have nice outdoor areas which are secured.

  • Review of Fountain View Manor Memory Care

General care was good but every time I visited, my dad never had his own clothes on. I feel like all clothes and Depends purchased for him became community property. When we took him of this facility, his belongings were packed by the facility. More than half of these things were not his. Not even the tote.

  • Caring and Compassionate Care

I moved my friend to the Fountain View Manor memory care unit last year and am very happy with the support he received there. After suffering a quick series of debilitating strokes, my friend rapidly developed symptoms of dementia and required memory care services. I initially placed him in another facility in the Belleville area, but quickly realized that he was not receiving adequate care or supervision. I then moved him to Fountain View Manor and immediately noticed a dramatic improvement in the quality of care provided. The physical facility at Fountain View Manor was far more home-like and inviting and, even more importantly, the staff seemed much more involved and caring. Though all of the staff did a great job, Nurse [Removed] and Aide [Removed] were especially noteworthy in the level of care they provided. It was obvious by watching them work and talking with them that they both cared deeply about the residents they supported. Both [Removed] took the time to get to know my friend and learn what he liked and did not like. They showed amazing patience in the care they provided, even as his condition worsened and the dementia transformed my normally polite and courteous friend into a person who became verbally and then physically [Removed]. Despite his change in demeanor, the staff still treated him with compassion and dignity, while ensuring that he was not a danger to himself or others. Though my friend died earlier this year as a result of his progressive illness, I know that he considered the Fountain View Manor staff to be his friends and I am grateful for their dedication and for ensuring that his final months of life were as pleasant as possible.
