The front desk, very nice upon meeting and signing. Upon arrival of my father: No welcome, no introductions, nothing Floor staff - good, caring. The cleanliness is great. Only exception was worker who got Covid and gave it to 7or8 residents. When my father passed, they said he had Covid. Friendliness of staff upstairs, great. Friendliness of staff on first floor and administrative: fair. Quality of care- good... except there was no nurse on staff. So every time A resident would get a little bump on her head or say they had any kind of pain. They would call the paramedics. The paramedics even stated that this place is notorious for calling 911. The meals/dining are good. With the activities, my father was on the second floor: memory care. Have minimal memory problems, but had a extreme hearing problem. When my father passed, nobody called me. I just happen to be on my way in and also pass by the nurse aid at the end of the hall. She said "sorry" and I found my father passed away in his room. I had to call Hospice. They need a full-time RN on staff

My mother-in-law is very happy at The Groves. A place for mom gave me plenty of options to check out. I needed it down to two options and had other family members visit both places. And we all decided on The Groves. I would recommend to others.

For the money we pay, the food could be so much better. The servings are really small. They need to improve the activities as well. I was there all day for 5 days and all they did was play bingo and have sing-along and watch movies.

I thought the Groves of Tustin was pretty nice overall. However, it wasn’t a secured facility, so you could just walk out the door. And it was a little smaller and older than other places we looked at - but it cost less.
Everybody is really nice, pleasant, and helpful. There is no registered nurse on staff, so if anything occurs all residents will be sent to the ER. Even if that results in multiple visits. I expected that every facility would have at least one RN on site, as it's not a hospital. I didn't think to ask; but it was also not stated that if a patient falls or has pain, they will be sent to the hospital. The paramedics stated that this facility is notorious for frequently calling paramedics to pick up & transport residents. They are also not very proactive with taking care of patients. I've had to call many times to get things done. I have a family member in the memory care unit, but he doesn't appear to get a lot of assistance or reminded to use his walker when coming down for meals or moving about in his room. He doesn't get much assistance with changing under garments and PJ's, brushing his teeth, maintaining hygiene, and those type of things. When I moved him in, I signed up for certain things like hairdressing service(s) every 6 weeks and TV and cable installment. There was paperwork associated with those things and it didn't get done until I called several times about it.

Awesome staff! No immediate openings. This was a little more than we wanted to spend. The views available were of brick walls and a neighbor.
This was a nice community it was just not the right feel for my loved one.
It was a nice facility, but we had an unusual experience - our loved one got Covid and was on hospice the whole time she was there. So the care she received was provided by hospice instead of The Groves. The limited interaction we had with the staff at The Groves was good. They were all very friendly.

We chose The Groves of Tustin because it was a nicer facility and it is also right down the street from our house. The room sizes here are really good, my mom has a private room and they also have shared rooms available as well. I think that the care providers who work here truly care about the residents. I would recommend to others looking depending on the needs of your loved ones.

We chose The Groves of Tustin because it was clean and it was a smaller facility and was more personal so I feel my mom would get to know other residents quicker. Also the sales person I met with was very friendly and helpful. They were always willing to work with me on anything, their director is really great and always accessible if we needed anything which is really nice. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

We chose the facility at the time because we thought it was a good value for the money. When we moved her in, there seemed to be a lot to do but within 2 weeks there was nothing to do. It is a pet friendly facility and there is a lot of single rooms so you do not have to share rooms with other residents.

It is a good place to check out. The communication with the staff could be better, as we have to call to ask what is going on. The grounds are kept up. There is an outdoor area that we can visit with our love one.

The activities have been shut down for the most part due to the restrictions but they are starting to bringing them back. We think their communication with the families are good and the atmosphere is very friendly.

My husband loved this one. It is much more pricey than some of the others. It is smaller in the memory care and dad would have a walking path that is actually perfect but he would not have access to it on his own. It is close to the house and that is a plus. We dont think this will work due to cost and to the lack of accessible walking.

hi [Removed] and I popped into this place unannounced yesterday and had a lovely tour. Impressive like all the others. Decision is going to be based largely on location, I think. That has yet to be chosen.

My wife has called this home for a little over three years and has been in hospice most of that time. She has aphasia and is in a wheelchair. She has been my delightful life partner for 57 years! I'm there every day for four hours to feed, and "talk" to her during my visit. I must say that the attendants have always spent extra time and attention to make her happy and illicit laughter from her during the day. The staff has literally become family to both of us. Any living situation like this for a mature independent senior is never perfect but this comes close and satisfies all our needs. From the Senior Director to the kitchen staff, they are all patient and truly kind and helpful. I credit my wife's very little change in her Alzheimer's symptoms to the love, touching, and stimulation at The Groves.

This is a nice community and the staff is very nice and caring. We like that he is in a clean community. They do offer alot of great activities that are helpful in a lot of ways. A nice environment that my mom enjoys with the other residents. We would highly recommend this community to other families for a good value for the great care.

My mother moved here recently and things are going well. She's getting involved in crafts and the staff is providing quality care to here. She complains about the food but eats all of it. We chose The Groves because we toured and though it would be a good fit for my mother.
