Building is decrepit. Heat and A/C are inadequate when they function. Floors are uneven and creak. Single, slow elevator is a bottleneck and a safety hazard. Roof leaks. No backup generator causing building to be dark, cold or hot in power failures and navigating apartments in the dark impossible. Water system often turned off for repairs. Inadequate hot water for bathing or washing. Inadequate laundry facilities with poor quality, often broken appliances. Food is institutional/hospital quality-yuck! Residents are unfriendly and are broken up into cliques. Staff has no emergency medical training-even Basic first aid, resulting in unnecessary deaths and injuries.

The facility is dated and has many structural and utility problems. Undulating and creaky floors. Water system is always going down. No backup electrical source in case of electrical blackout. The food is horrible. Heated from a can or frozen meals. No fresh foods or locally sourced foods/vegetables. Portions are small and vary in quantity and quality from meal to meal. Kitchen is unresponsive to the special dietary needs of the residents. Foods are overcooked, greasy and salty. Many of the residents -women, are snobbish and do not wish to associate with the "commoners." The apartments are infested with insects, mice, cockroaches, etc. Routine use of insecticides by the staff is common, but, unhealthy for the residents residents and does not solve the problem. Go elsewhere for senior care; I am moving out at first opportunity!!!
