Quality, loving care.
I rarely review business but I felt compelled to share my family’s experience and more specifically my father’s time with Golden Way Care. My father’s health had been steadily declining over the last few years and last February it got to the point where we could no longer provide the 24hr care he needed at home. My wife and I did our research, toured over a dozen facilities before a coworker recommended GDW. She was effusive about the quality of care her mother received while there as well as how amazing and genuine the staff were. We were not disappointed. From the moment we meet the owner [name removed] to when we viewed the facilities we felt that this would were my father could be safe and cared for. The staff was warm, friendly and professional, the facilities immaculate. My father’s room had every comfort we could ask for. As the Pandemic set on we were assured that every possible measure was being taken to protect the residents of GWC and it was evident in the procedures put in place. Every day I visited my dad he was happy and joking with the staff and soon was a staple of the home. Unfortunately my dad passed a few weeks ago and he is missed beyond words. However I can say with surety that his last months were spent being lovingly cared for. GWC provided the space and opportunity for us to enjoy our last times together. My family and I will forever be grateful to GWC and it’s amazing staff. Thanks for being the compassionate care givers our family needed.

Not equipped to handle love ones care.
We were new to the assisted living home care experience, and the board and care was way more not knowledgeable then what we came across. Before moving our loved one in we made them aware our loved one had a stroke that left her bed written, incontinence and could barely move her left side. We do not know how much companionship there was and from our know there was not friendship that was built between our loved one and the staff. They said there would be no night time care and suggested we let them give our loved one sleeping pills through the night so she would not bother the staff members. We wish they would reiterated to us whether or not they could care for our loved one, they were just not equipped to do so. There was also no physical therapy or any type of engagement to our knowledge

Enjoyed owner. Knowledgeable. House was well done, well decorated, clean and organized. Rooms very small and house was designed strangely. Going through one bathroom to get to another bathroom. Saw another house 3blocks away much nicer, nice rooms one with private bath but very expensive $7k mo.

I went at the time you scheduled, they would not show us the property said that my time was 4:30 and to come back. They didn't even try to accommodate us and since my mom is 89, we didn't go back.

I'm happy with everything
Everything is going well for my love one. The staff team fed him better than the previous facility. He is being taken care of; he seems to be adjusting well, and I’m happy with everything. The staff is very responsive; if I have questions I can talk with someone very quickly and retrieve answers. Even though the facility itself is a house it is well decorated, spacious, and it looks like a business type of home opposed to just dropping off a loved one in a vacant room in a house.
