We chose Caremore of Clarkston because they accepted the medicaid waiver and it is closer to where we live. They have been good with communication with everything that has been going on. His room size is on the smaller side but adequate for his needs. I would recommend them to others looki

Our tour experience
Our family had an in person tour, it was just okay it would of been acceptable, but there was just another community that set the standards so high and really gave us that gut feeling that it was going to be the perfect place for our loved one, and unfortunately we just did not feel that here.

Loving Care
Initially we were able to visit, and then governor shut us down again. But Caremore still allowed us to drop off food and worked with us to let us see our loved one. I would definitely recommend them, and I've already told a few of my friends this is a great place - it was close to home, and they were just fantastic. I like the fact that in the end stages of life, my loved one was in a place where there were only 30 people, and not hundreds. It's a very small operation, with 3 staff members there at all times, and we had no problems there. The outside of the building isn't fancy, and the landscaping could use some work. But in Covid times with short resources, that's the least of our worries. From what I saw, it was clean, they cooked meals for everyone, sometimes individually as they were hungry, took care of whatever was needed as it came up. We got a fixed price through end of life that included everything, so pricing was very fair. Everything was spot on as far as I could tell. Out of every place I've been to, this is where I would put other loved ones if I had to.

Overall a good community
It is a smaller setting community, which is the opposite from our loved ones previous community. We like the smaller setting more. The room sizes are small but they work out fine.

a good place for MOM
I think anyone looking into this facility should visit and see what they offer. they have shared bathrooms including showers. I would recommend depending on the care type and personality type. The rooms are tiny, and the food is good mainly homestyle type with a good variety.

The Ability to Make the Room Your Own
This is the least expensive you will find for memory care. The aides and care staff were very nice. My loved one never enjoyed the food at Caremore. My loved one had a single room and I was able to come in and jazz it up a bit.

Disgrace
Bed bug infested place you need to be shut down and that is something I've seen with my own eyes. My friends mother came home with bites all over her legs, and no one informed her of this situation. What type of place are you running?

Nightmare! !
Worst nursing home ever. My grandmas lazy assistant at night made her sleep on the floor bbecausemy grandma fell while trying to get up. Her assistant told her to stay on the floor because she didn't feel like dealing with her. This place needs to be closed. I wouldn't send my wirst enemy here

Beware!!
The facility is outdated but clean. The concept is good,However the managing owner is unprofessional and in my opinion not forthcoming. I am told there are several owners but the one seems to manage. A majority of the staff is related and if there is an issue it is not treated as confidential and things are not handled in a professional manor. It seems to become a blame game and you find yourself in the middle of a circus with the Owner /manager as the ring leader, telling the staff you complained about them, causing conflict and uncomfortable feelings instead of handling things professionally and resolving issues. Lack of communication seems to be an issue with some of the staff and the excuse is that they are really busy. This should not be an excuse but a alert to management to get more staff or make an effort to fix an on going problem. I personally have respect and appreciate the people who care for my loved one when I cannot be there. It is not a perfect world and mistakes happen & things get missed. However if there is an ongoing issue, it needs to be addressed and changes need to be made. I was told the facility is for sale, I think it would be a Great Opportunity for someone to purchase it, hire a competent professional manager and get things on track. This statement is my personal opinion.
