I would say to find another place for your loved ones. Before she went here she was in the hospital a few times. The last time she was there she kept falling out of the bed, according to the staff.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are committed to continuous quality service and care and will share your feedback with our management team.
I have had family members in this facility and they really enjoyed their stay. I have also been fortunate enough to work with them in the community and have also had good luck in working with them. I would highly recommend them!
The staff at Brookdale Dowlen Oaks goes above and beyond for their residents. Their facility is clean and offers many different activities for the residents to participate in. I would recommend them over and over!
Very informative and helpful financially. They are true friends and helpful when needing to make decisions.
We chose Brookdale Dowlen Oaks at the time because of the price. They also provided a higher level of care. They do not offer a lot of activities here. It seems like to the staff members, it is just a job to them rather than really caring about the residents. I would recommend the facility depending on level of care, if your loved one is more independent, I would recommend. If they need more care, I would not.
It was a horrible experience. My mother was in memory care for two weeks and the nurse said that she needed to send her out to a behavioral health hospital, which was an awful experience for her. The nurse at Brookdale was unprofessional, and not knowledgeable at all. I called the corporate office and they had her moved to another Brookdale community. However, ever since this experience, my mother has not been able to walk.
Brookdale is facility that has very friendly staff and welcome me at every visit. I think it is very clean and accomplishes all the service needed for my dad. We have had a few glitches that were addressed immediately and in a very accommodating way. My father has made friends that have made the transition much easier, and after a hesitant move he has adjusted wonderfully. He is unable to participate in activities because of his vision but they seem to offer plenty of options. He likes the food although his diet is sugar free he says the food is fine and choices are available and controlled portions. He has options to snack in his room but doesn’t usually want too much. He had a hospital stay and the staff even checked on his progress at the hospital, which the nurses said was very unusual for a facility. We believe that Brookdale was the perfect choice for him and thus me also. I have no complaints.
Even though not our preferred location, facility was nicely maintained. Seemed to have more caretakers than other facility we visited. Had a very nice dining area. Did not like carpet in apartments. At 5his point in my MIL needs, don't feel this would be the location for her.
My Mom was here very briefly. However, during the tour and process of moving her in, everyone was really helpful and nice. It’s a very nice facility and looks like it’s kept clean. I wasn’t able to try the food when I took my tour, but I did see it and it looked good. There were several options available with a big variety. They also had a few activities available and would come out with a monthly catalog that they would send to families in case they wanted to participate. I thought that was nice. I highly recommend this facility.
This facility is very nice and well maintained. They do the best that they can with what they have. All of the staff members seem to care a lot about my Father. The reason why I chose this community over others is that they have a memory care unit while other places don't. The only negative feedback I have about this facility is that I wish they would communicate with me better on my dad’s health. I would recommend this facility.
