The staff have been really good to work with if I have any questions or concerns. The food needs more variety with more fresh foods available for the residents. This also needs to be delivered in a timely manner so the food is not cold. Changing of lines, housekeeping, the apartment, all the meals, and utilities are included in the monthly fee.... Read more

They do not offer a lot of activities at this community. The caregivers are super nice. The food is terrible it reminds me of hospital food. The community is very clean and the rooms are fairly nice. This community does work with Medicaid.
From the first day my sister started getting better. I should have placed her there first!
Staff was very friendly and helpful when I toured. The room we picked was nice, and clean. Carpets were freshly shampooed. On move in day there seemed to be a miscommunication between the sales person and the administration. After spending the day moving my mom in, I had to go find someone to ask about life alert, medications, etc. They seemed to be surprised that she moved in (even though we had been given a key to the room). After that I spent almost every day for 2 weeks addressing services that were not yet being provided such as laundry, sheet changing, garbage pick up, housekeeping. After over 2 weeks they finally changed her sheets, but then immediately lost those sheets(they were never found). All in all, it did not seem that they were prepared to have her move in. There seems to be a large turnover at the facility and they seem constantly short handed. She does like the food there and overall seems pretty happy and is treated well by the staff.
The Sales Manager at Brookdale, Jason, is kind and competent. He did a good job of helping us through the move-in process. All the staff and residents are very friendly. The main rooms are beautifully appointed and the majority of the meals are to my Mom's taste. There are activities of all sorts and transportation for appointments and shopping is readily available. I like the fact that Brookdale can accommodate my Mom's changing needs with units on-site that will offer her more help, if she needs it in the future. Brookdale is exactly what my Mom needed.
Mom did feel they were a little understaffed, however she liked her short stay at Brookdale and she thought the food was very good. They kept the community clean. They have a hairdresser onsite and she can still go to her even though she no longer stays there. The administrative staff were helpful in getting her settled in.
This would be my first choice for price & comfort.
I had a really poor experience on my tour with a lot of strange interaction with the staff . The gentlemen who took my love one and I on the tour was trying to up sale us the whole time and was not honest with the information we received. I did not have a good experience with this facility.
The move to Brookdale Coeur d'Alene has not been the easiest transition. We are finding things are not as they were described when we took the tour. The community is well kept but the rooms lack attention. The rooms are only cleaned once a week and the aides are supposed to pick up when they are in the rooms. My loved one's room has not been picked up during the week by anyone. They are looking for a new charge nurse and there has been challenges with medications with the "acting charge nurse". They do offer some activities including outings. However, there is only one van for the hundred and six rooms for folks to go out. The food offered is great and my loved one enjoys the meals. The community does not allow the residents to have Tums, Tylenol, or muscle creams in the rooms.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The prices are mostly reasonable. Mom is enjoying her new surroundings in a smaller facility where everyone knows everyone else. She felt lost in her old much larger facility where she didn't even know who the manager was!
Things are going better since my parents moved into this community. The only minor issue we have had is with the way some of the medication instructions are worded. If it says as needed they do not give it to her with her other medication. The rooms are big and they keep the community clean. The food is good and I would recommend this community.
There are some major changes happening here. When I moved my mom in, the chef made delicious food and my mom was really happy with her meals. Now there is a new chef and I feel he needs more training and they wait almost an hour till being served. I also think they are understaffed and unable to mange the front desk but they are doing their best. It is kept clean through out the facility.
My wife and I enjoy our apartment. The staff is friendly and caring. My stress level is way down since moving from our house to Brookdale, because I don't have as many tasks to manage. We find the environment very comfortable.
My mom moved in last fall. We were told she would get a resident "ambassador" to show her around, but we never met her. I worked with the concierge, Sandy, to help Mom learn about how things like bus trips and activities work. She was very helpful. The quality of the food is fair to good, about on par with other places I have experienced. The building has been undergoing a redecorating project for the last four months which is almost done and looks very nice. A new roof was also installed. As far as maintenance, you need to be the squeaky wheel. Some minor issues have taken a while to be resolved and one is still not resolved. (Lack of one network station which happens to have Mom's favorite shows). Overall, we are mostly satisfied.
As far as public relations they are doing really good. They are updating the facility and doing a lot of good work, so that is a good thing. My wife and I have sampled the food ourselves and it is pretty good.
Emeritus is now Brookdale at Coeur D' Alene. The value of this facility is a 5 +. The one fault I'm finding is their service at the restaurant during the meals. They seem understaffed. You wait and wait for service. Other than that everything is wonderful here. I am happy here.
My loved one loves it there and she is happy there. She is on the independent living side of the facility. The location is in a questionable area, but it seems like a safe facility. We have not had any problems with it.
The customer relations is outstanding. The whole staff made transitioning my parents very easy. They really went above and beyond on things. They were in the middle of transitioning companies, but in spite of that everything went smooth. We are real happy overall.
The transition of moving my mother-in-law to Emeritus at Coeur d'alene from her own home was a little more difficult than we first thought it would be. But the staff at Emeritus are very informative and friendly. They answered all of our questions and did their best to make everything as easy as possible. The residents there are very friendly and welcoming. Everything has been excellent at the Emeritus at Coeur d'Alene. I would recommend this community. It's a nice place with nice people.
The staff is wonderful and the leading manager Kirk is always quick to respond. For my dad this was the best value with a great apartment and great food.
We are pretty happy so far. He seems to like it. I don't have any concerns or complaints over how clean it is or how friendly the staff is. He likes the food. We liked that they were willing to help keep our loved one as independent as possible, while still knowing the assistance was there and available. It was nice to have a stepping stone for him. It really looked like a fit, and so far is working out well.
