Here state-of-the-art care meets a passion for painting.
If you’re living with dementia, small steps can be big wins. If you and your family are looking for a memory care community, we can help. Our Alzheimer's and dementia care community, also known as Clare Bridge, is rooted in “a person-centered approach”. That means we help our residents find a sense of belonging and purpose while also helping them preserve who they are.
The Clare Bridge Daily Path is an evidence-based approach that offers a gentle daily structure of six planned programs per day, our routine that helps our residents maintain their abilities, encourage the use of their current skills, and offer a sense of security and accomplishment. Working in small cluster groups, each resident is surrounded by others with the same cognitive abilities, to give them a feeling of fitting in. Activities include a morning cognitive workout with discussions, brain games and physical fitness and movement classes like our B-Fit program, walking programs, and dancing.
Our residents have a lot of choices. Check out some of the fun activities your loved one could enjoy here:
•Ice cream socials
•Cards and games
And you’ll have peace of mind knowing your loved one is living in a safe and secure environment that feels like home. Apartment features include:
•Plenty of natural window light
•Secured building entry and exits
•Family guide and move-in list to help prepare for your move
•Dining program with dementia-friendly menus and a small familiar dining room with consistent seating?
Our Clare Bridge environments feature areas of the community that are set up for safe engagement in gardening, kitchen work, handyman help, and other household and normal daily tasks. Life skills activities provide a sense of purpose, meaning and belonging as residents complete tasks related to everyday life.
Your loved one can enjoy spending sunny days outside in one of our two secure courtyard areas. With a large patio area, a gazebo, walking paths, our backyard spaces are very popular with our residents.
Whether it’s our Clare Bridge program for mid- to late stages or our Solace program for the advanced stages of dementia, we have purposeful programs that offer the care you and your family need. Along with our programming, you’ll have peace of mind knowing there is trained staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
As an alternative to psychotropic medications sometimes prescribed to manage behavioral expressions often associated with dementia, we’ve developed a comprehensive problem-solving process that includes an entire team dedicated to uncovering the root of the behavioral issue. Sometimes addressing basic issues like pain, hunger or thirst or even an environment that’s too hot or too cold, will resolve problems without the need to resort to medication.
