At our memory care community, we believe no matter where an individual is on life's journey, each has the right to continue living in a dignified manner and enjoying meaningful experiences every day. As you consider memory care for your loved one, you'll find just what you're looking for in our safe, comfortable, home-like environment in the quiet community of Brookfield, Wis., just a short drive from Milwaukee.
Deeply rooted in a person-centered approach, our Alzheimer's and dementia care is called the Clare Bridge program, where each resident is surrounded by others with the same cognitive abilities so they feel like they fit in. Clare Bridge focuses on sustaining feelings of belonging, purpose and safety while seeking to preserve a sense of self. More simply, we meet them where they are.
On any given day, our residents are gathering for a movie, playing memory games, singing karaoke, tossing a beanbag around, dancing, baking, reminiscing about the old days, listening to music, playing cards, getting creative with arts & crafts or pampering themselves with manicures. They also enjoy getting out for picnics or scenic drives. These activities are fun, and our residents enjoy them, but they're part of a...

Extremely nice facility. Of the four facilities we visited, it was probably our favorite. [Name removed], in the reception area, is an absolute gem, making one feel welcome on first contact. Loved the size and layout. Suspect this would have provided the most personalized program for Mom.
Great staff, great activities. Handle any problems right away... my mom loves it.
Overall it was a pretty nice place. The food was decent, the staff was friendly, and it was kept clean. The care was ok. What I didn't like is that I had to shave my dad, comb his hair and ask someone to help him with brushing his teeth. There were activities like sing alongs, tossing a ball, and making various crafts. Once a month there was an outing. My dad had only spent 2 months there as he passed away at the end of this June so I don't have a long term assessment.
We liked the place but they felt it wasnt the right fit for mom's behaviors
We had a pleasant tour of this community. Everything went well. The community looked nice. From what we saw everything was clean, and well maintained. The staff we met was friendly. It was a good experience, and everyone treated us well.
This community is nice place that is clean and well maintained. You see french doors leading out with lots of light coming through the community. It is a very small place that is more homey. Since my parents are living here it they are trying to get use to the lifestyle. My parents eat very well and the activities are good. The activities are not everyday but it is available often through the week. The apartment is a good size with a bathroom.
Brookdale Brookfield Capitol Dr is an exceptional memory care facility. My mother was a resident there from May 2015 until her passing in September 2016. Each and every day the entire staff provided patient, thoughtful and compassionate care. Yes, occasionally there were some bad and/or chemical odors which is to be expected from this type of facility but Brookdale was very clean and my mother's and other residents needs were always promptly addressed. Communication was excellent between the staff and the family and we were kept informed of all physical and psychological issues. The staff was truly her second family.
The was fine, everything that was said to me was fine. I just didn't like what I saw. I is a small community and super old. It had a terrible smell. As I was touring they were cleaning an area that had a chemical smell. This turned me off about the place. I also saw too many residents in the community, this was not the right fit for us.
Very friendly staff who are willing to work with you. It has been a very good experience, considering the circumstances of having to place my mom in a home. I am very comfortable having my mother at this community.
This facility it was very clean very well managed and run was very impressed with the staff!! most of the residents at the time I was there did seem to be more further advanced than my mother with Alzheimer s looking at this facility one more time before making a decision as this was one I really liked
The staff is awesome. So far it is really nice. They had her nails polished last week when we went to visit her. She was clean and her clothes were clean. She's very happy there.
At Clare Bridge Brookfield I would rate friendliness a 10 if I could. When the staff came to do the interview they were so kind. They were just the best people that I talked to. They gave us religious freedom. The staff and management are just amazing at this facility. They really met our needs in a difficult situation.
Would like to see kitchen Slight urine odor noted Activities quite varied and offered every day from 9:30-7 24 hour staffing
I was very please with the service at the Clare Bridge of Brookfield. The staff was engaging and considerate. They were very attentive. The Staff was just great. We made a transition from a larger place, which is more hospital like. The smaller facility was more personal. I thought the did a great job and great service. A place for mom provided superb services. Thank you for your services.
I'm very pleased with the service of Clare Bridge of Brookfield. The staff is very engaging, considerate, and attentive. Administrative staff is good as well, adding with the Hospice staff that works with this facility. Overall I'm very pleased.
The staff at Clare Bridge of Brookfield is very professional, and very compassionate. The facility is always very clean each time I visit. Overall I am pleased with the services and care provided.
They do a very good job. They are extremely responsive, if there is an issue they take care of it right away. Mary has gone above and beyond to try to engage my loved one with activities. Rebecca the administrator, is available all the time, there isn't anything you can't go to her with. Katy the salesperson was awesome, we had such a connection, and she followed up with me, and she took the time to get to us, and even had a cat gift for me when we came back. Janet the receptionist is awesome too. Nobody is parked in front of a T.V. everyone is engaged and busy. We are just very happy with them.
Mom was only in Clare Bridge for three weeks, and one of those was spent in a hospital, because she had fallen. She returned to Clare Bridge to a hospice program run by Wheaton Fransiscan. The hospice workers said that the Clare Bridge people were extremely helpful. Our family was pleased with all the attention Mom got and with all the daily and more contacts with me to let me know what was happening, even though I visited each day.
it's more for just dementia. It's very nice but I'm upset about everything right now. A small room for my mom is $4400 and everything is a la carte. You have to add on the laundry, the housekeeping, the bathing, the medication. You get the meals included but everything else is added on. I just think you're dealing with dementia patients - you know they need help with everything. Why don't you just have one lump fee? It's very sad.
