It's Been a Blessing

It is a very nice place, and my love done is doing well. The staff are nice to work with. Some of the activities they have available are: baking, morning circle group, outside musicians, arts and crafts, and more for the residents to choose from. The caregivers are underpaid, and the community is understaffed.

Our experience with Brighton Gardens during covid

We chose the facility because it was the only place in the area that had a 2 bedroom and living space that were separate. The staff here have worked with me well so that I can see my dad and I am thankful for that. I have not had any issues with the staff but I think they do need to get a new billing department, it is outsourced so there is a lapse in time and I am still working on some of our bills straightened out. On the weekends they do have limited staff so they could use more staffing in order to provide the care that residents need. They are keeping the common areas clean, but not my dads room as we expected them to.

Good community

Community was pretty competent, would recommend this to a family or friend. We ate there a couple times, the food was pretty adequate would give it a five.

Very impressed with the facility, though it was a virtual tour. [Name removed] was very thorough, sensitive and very knowledgeable about the needs and care of the older population. From the examples she gave us, I could really tell that they are willing to go above and beyond to meet they residents wishes and make them feel at home.

Good care too many add on charges

The pro is that they really do take the time to individualize the care for my mom. The con is the add on charges. If my mom does a craft it is an extra $7. They have a variety of food choices. In the memory care unit they know what the resident liked to eat and serve them accordingly. We were working with a very tight timeline and they were able to accommodate us and got my mom in quickly.

Money well spent

We are very happy with Brighton Gardens. The staff could not be nicer or more attentive. The cost is higher than some facilities, but the care is worth it.

Superior caring Assisted Living

I've had loved ones in several assisted living facilities and I have to say that Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem is superior in the industry. They really strive to meet the needs of all residents and have one of the most caring staffs. I think because they are part of a much larger organization, they have to answer to guidelines and have more structure.

Loved this place, [name removed] very nice, larger facility, plenty of activity rooms and pet friendly. May the community fee is free can be negotiated after it seemed like. Care costs vary on level, $810 a month to dispense insulin and other meds, does not accept Medicaid.

Has Had Some UPs and Downs

Mom is overall doing well since moving here. She is doing some of the activities and going to events. Along with that, she is receiving some physical therapy. The staff here overall are very nice and doing the best they can I feel the community could use more staffing to lessen the burden of the ones that are there now. The food is the good mom has never been one to be a picky eater. The community is kept very clean and well light and the temperature is always just right.

Nice Tour!!

I have recently taken a tour of this community for my mother and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where very professional throughout our visit and I did not feel pressured. They where also informative on everything they had to offer as well as answer any questions we had for them in detail. It just came down the location and availability in the end decision and this was not the right fit.

Helpful Staff!!

I recently had taken a tour of this community for my loved one and I have no complaints of how things went. The property was clean and they had a lot of great amenities available for all of the residents. I liked that the staff did not pressure us into anything and was able to answer of our questions that we had for them in detail. It was just not the right fit in the end decision.

[Removed], I went on the Wed. tour. The place is great and facilities are very efficient. All in all I would consider this for my sister. Keep it on the list for sure. I am going to see Brookdale 6-28th. Then we will talk and compare. Thank you so much for your help. LaVonda

Did not workout...

My mother was at Brighton Gardens for 24 hours before leaving. There were a certain series of events that happened that made it not work out, but I feel that I would still recommend them to anyone looking because of they were good to us.

Usually very pleased

Normally things are good when I visit.During my visit today however, there was no toilet paper in my mother's bathroom and her room smelled of urine due to the dirty laundry that hadn't been washed. The aide working today immediately resolved the issue when I brought it to her attention. They usually do very well but I was little disappointed during my visit today.

Facility had smells throughout. Carpet was dirty. Model that we were shown needed cleaning and deodorizing. Residents seemed to just go through daily routine without outward signs of being satisfied with care.

Very nice!

My tour of the Brighton Gardens of Winston- Salem went very well. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We really liked the place but the reason we did not choose it was because of location. My parents wanted to be closer to my sister.

This place is really nice and we enjoy it. The people have been very accommodating. They answered all questions that we had. We liked the community and all that it had to offer. This is just a better fit for dad since they offer the things that he needs.
