I looked at a lot of places and Blossom Care was the one that I liked the most. It is out in the country and has very pretty grounds and places to sit outside. It has a very homey feel to it. The rooms were lovely as well. It is fully furnished so you don't have to bring in any of your own furniture and that is super helpful. The staff seemed to be very friendly. It was also a little cheaper than others we looked into. He was not here too long before passing. One thing that I did not appreciate was after he passed, they called me to see if I had found a place yet, so they did not even remember him.... Read more

All in all, the staff was wonderful. Management was okay but a little shifty. I would recommend to double check on anything that you think needs to happen for your parent. At first, I was super happy about her being there. She did eat everything and gained weight while she was there. But then she kept falling, which led to the ultimate decline of her health. I know that it was an accident, but I feel it could have been prevented had they done fall care.

Thank you for your review SB. We are always open to feedback and improvements. We do have deliciously cooked homemade meals at our home, so it is not a surprise your mom gained weight. In regards to the manager, she is available 24/7 to all families by text and phone call, and she works on site at least 5 days a week. Falls are very unfortunate events that are all too common in leading to the decline of our elderly population. We do everything we can to prevent falls and creating a fall safe environment, but unfortunately we cannot keep falls from happening. We have a 1 to 4 caregiver to resident ratio, so our staff is highly tentative and do everything they can to keep our seniors safe.

Hi Anita, thank you so much for the 5 star review. We appreciate your input and are so happy your loved our facility. It is a beautiful home residents in a country feel environment, and many people love that about our home. I am so sorry someone reached out to you after your loved one passed. Please know, we recently added a new member to our team to make referral calls, so they made a mistake reaching out to you. We will make sure to do a better job of organizing referrals and contacts. Hope you are doing well!
I would tell others that this community is suited for very elderly residents with low medical needs. The staff weren't able to accommodate my loved one's needs like I thought they would be able to. I worked with[name removed], and feel she was trying her best. The rest of the nursing staff felt unfriendly and unprofessional at times.
My mother has moved into Blossom Care as I am no longer able to properly care for her in her declining health. It is a lovely residence with wonderful caring employees. My mother has a very nice room with a full bathroom and a walk-in shower. They have activities like games and puzzles including many more, but unfortunately my mother can't participate. They are licensed for 16 residents and they currently have 12 residents. One of the best things about it is that the ratio of caregiver-to-resident is very high which is one of the main reasons I chose their facility over a large nursing home with mediocre care. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs help with their loved ones.
Its a nice facility and worth looking into. The rooms are nice and everyone has their own bathroom. The food looked good and they had a good variety. I would definatly recommend this community to others
It is a very nice facility, and it is in a nice neighborhood with a rural setting. The staff has been very engaging. The rooms are comfortable, it is a converted house which is a part of what we liked. It is not like an institutional cookie cutter room. We have heard good things about the food, but with COVID we have not had a chance to go there for a meal.
Blossom is a really special retirement and assisted living home. The owners are a family and the employees are very caring people. The home is immaculately clean and open and enjoyable to live in. [name removed], her family and crew are doing a great job with my mother. I could not be happier with the home and I am thankful that [name removed] from A Place For Mom recommended it to me. [Name removed] is such a caring and supportive advisor and she knows what she is talking about. Thank you
my Alzheimer's mom is 65 and very active and although this place is clean and [Removed] seems very dedicated, I don't think my mom would be a good fit here. The house is huge, but the property is very small. When I asked about physical activities for my mom (she still mows her own lawn!) the owner seemed a bit confuzzled as to what to do with her. A wonderful tour though
A Place For Mom had options for us and made our search easy with the perimeter we were looking into. This home was nice but not as nice as another facility we had looked at. The tour was good.
I would not have found this place if it was not for A Place For Mom. I like the fact that it is all females. The owner, [Removed], was what sold is. I felt very comfortable with her and the caregivers are all kind and friendly. The size of the place is perfect. There are only 9 residents there4 and the place is very clean. We are very happy with our choice.
I was impressed with the cleanliness of the home; there were no malodorous smells. Also impressed that there is a live-in caregiver on site. The grounds were nice for walking and enjoying nature. The private rooms were a bit small but sufficient for my client.
Very nice neighborhood, very nice and clean home, and beautiful porch. Even has an outdoor yard with tables. The room is comparatively spacious and the owner is very nice. She has two aides that assist with showers and meals. But none of the residents spoke, two weren't even moving, and one stayed in his room. There seems to be no activity between the residents. The only indoor common area was the dining table. And they don't offer outings. I think Dad would feel very isolated here.
Nice but I liked environment at New Hope better. The outdoors seemed much more peaceful and it was roomier. The owner was nice and it seemed ok but not what I was looking for.
Toured 5/6/13 - small; no individual bathrooms; majority of clients profoundly affected compared J's higher level of functioning. One female pt w/diarrhea
Didn't like the location and actual senior living area seems small and cramped
Private room with bath and shower. Clean, no ordors. Patio runs around house and room has door to patio. Messy yard. Dr visits once a month. They will order the meds if desired.
