Blair Personal Care Home
I have had experience with several personal care homes now. Enough to make an informative review. I will say that the rooms are nicer at Blair and the care is more personal but the service is not the stellar service I received at Lakeview. Blair seems to be less expensive but not that big of a difference after they get done adding in all the incidentals. They do not give enough of a window to get the bills there on time. Only 10 days in between the day they print the invoice to the date the bill has to be back in their office. Considering the mail has to go through several post offices before it gets to my house it just is not enough time. They are quick to give out late charges too. I have had a hard time getting questions answered regarding their emergency preparedness plan so that I can make sure I am in contact with my loved ones in an emergency. They seemed to take offense to my questions. I just wanted to know where I could find my family member if they would be evacuated or how they would handle an emergency. They did not seem to have a definite plan as I got several different responses and then hung up on.
