Bestland was good, but my loved one was only there for a short amount of time before having to move into another community. The residents and staff were friendly. The staff communication was excellent. The food was cafeteria style, could be better.
The apartments are spacious and well kept.

Bestlands: Non-compliant
I am appalled and disgusted at the condition of this site. The majority of the staff is inexperienced and untrained. This site is not kept clean or sanitized in any way. The carpets are filthy and stained with debris left for weeks in hallways and the elevators have not, I repeat, have not been cleaned for months. The grounds are being kept up with just a minimal of care and the necessary daily requirements to keep the site clean and trash free are not being done. There are weeds growing all through the parking lot and the parking lot itself is not well lit at night and the condition of the pavement presents a hazard to anyone who uses a cane or walker. It is unsafe to live here.
This site is supposed to be independent living yet there are many residents that require the staff's help in order just to get down to the dining room and back to their apartment.
The office staff are untrained and demonstrate a lack of experience that is necessary to do a confident job.
The kitchen serves cold food and they do not follow the CDC's requirements set forth by law. In fact this site does not follow the CDC's recommended requirements to keep the spread of the Corvallis virus or the flu from happening.
As of this date there has been at least two deaths attributed to the Corvallis virus at this site. With a number of others that tested positive for the Corvallis virus.
With the exception of the executive director the rest of the staff demonstrates an inability to perform the duties of their jobs correctly and within compliance with the CDC's recommendations.
I am thoroughly saddened that I have moved in here and I am actively looking for another place to live. I plan to move as soon as possible.
Lastly, I highly do not recommend Bestlands as a place of residence. The amount that I pay per month is way more than what I am getting in return for my dollar.
It is not just my personal opinion that I have set forth but it is my professional opinion due to the fact that I have overseen the daily operations of commercial sites that were much larger than this one. I have the experience of a general manager over commercial sites and this is why I have put down what I have.

Nice Apartment!!
I have no complaints of how things had went during my tour of this community for my self. The staff where on time to my appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked that the residents seemed engaged in different activities and the spacious dinning room. Overall I am pleased with the experience it was just not the right fit for me in the end decision.

Although an older facility, it is well kept. Very nice dining room with three meals daily with choices. Has free laundry for personal items, but there is basic housekeeping once a week which includes laundering of bed linen. Parking available for personal vehicles. Pets allowed. Very friendly atmosphere. There is no stove or oven and very small refrigerator. Small appliances including microwave are up to you. Cable and WiFi is included. Of the three places I saw on the 25th of May, this was the least expensive. One last note, this facility had an "Honor Wall" for military veterans in residence that I thought was nice.

Great Care for Grandma
I like this community for the care. The staff are outstanding and caring to her needs. the menu is really appealing and a nice variety of healthy meals .This community is keeping her active with all the activites, shopping, music. I like knowing that she is in good care here. I highly recommend this community for the excellent care and the great value for loved ones.

Staff was informative !!
During our tour the staff was nice and gave my loved one and I a lot of detailed information. The community looked to run down and very outdated for my liking . It would be better with some updating and new renovations.

My Care Is Good
I think the care I am getting is okay. The price is cheaper than other communities and affordable. The staff are very good people. I think the meals taste fine. The up keep of the community is very good. They have adequate care.

All thumbs up!
The staff is very accommodating to her needs, that is major to me. The location is an older part of town and the property is older too, but it is still in a good shape with,clean restrooms and cafeteria. The staff is excellent! They get a 5 star for friendliness in my book. They greet me and my family with every visit and they make us feel right at home. One of the most important things is the location, because it’s close by and I can walk over to visit my loved one. All thumbs up!
