  • Needs Some Improvement

The facility itself is lovely. It's light, bright, airy, inviting, has room to breath, elevates mood, and there is no unpleasant odor. I feel cleanliness is an area for improvement. The commons areas, and especially the hallways, need more attention. When we first moved my loved one in, there were two staff teams. The main team was absolutely phenomenal. They were dynamic, had energy, motivated the residents, and paid close attention to everybody there. Shortly there after, there was a staff turnover and the new team falls short of what the lead team provided. I feel the new team is questionable. The food is standard in quality. There isn't enough food and they often run out of it which is just unacceptable.

  • This looks like the same place as Whispering Pines in Raleigh. It's a wonderful looking place, lots of windows, etc, but no real kitchen, and the same set-up with managers living on site, and dinner being like a boarding school, where you HAVE to be in your seat at a given time and then be quiet while they come in and read what is for dinner that day. Too restricted and regimented. (Also at Whispering Pines the manager was somewhat "not caring" about a lot of our issues and was almost rude about some. But that has no bearing on Bella Vista, just saying though.) Bella Vista is probably prettier because of the gorgeous setting, but still too much cookie-cutter and similar to ours here. (I love the awesome wooden floors in the apartment Tammy sent me pictures of! THAT is what an apartment should look like! Windows all over and wooden floors! LOVE IT!) Other than the whole dinner thing, and there being no real kitchen, the place itself looks real nice and I know they do a great job with the layout. You never feel lost in the halls, like at some places. It's very smartly arranged and has a nice open feeling.

  • Very, very, pleased!

My cousin loves living at Bella Vista. The food is fantastic, the people are helpful, and even though he is a bit of a recluse, there are tons of activities. The bus is always taking residents to fun places like the Asheville Chocolate Lounge, Papa's and Beer and activities around town. The price is very reasonable. His one bedroom apartment is 3200.00 month and that includes everything ( electricity, emergency call button, cable, housekeeping). Home healthcare comes twice a week to do his shopping and laundry for an additional small charge. My husband asked me when we are moving in!
