Overall, Maybelle Carter was the best option for care and affordable. We picked this community because of the cleanliness, great staff and service ,and it's affordable. We were blown away by AMC in all categories. Best of all was the people there. They treated my mother with the utmost dignity, care, and patience in her final days.

I toured with AVIVA Maybelle Carter and it was a huge disappointment. Granted, they said that they were about to do an expensive renovation, but I found the place to be very depressing and offered very little natural light.
The meals have improved with a new chef, but they have been out of several staples like orange juice or cups and they are slow to replace it. There is supposed to be bread available at all times for them to make toast and I never see any. We would absolutely recommend AVIVA Maybelle Carter to other families! They are great! So many helpful and friendly people and the residents are happy. That makes a difference.

Well my mother is still there . They have done some remodeling which helped to improve things. They have consistent activities so that's nice too. The biggest complaint from my moma is the food!! Repetitive meals, greasy food, and inexperience cooks (constant position turnover in the kitchen). I actually plan on reaching out to them to ask what going on with the meals. They are going up about [fee removed] ion the rent at the first of the year so we'll be looking for somewhere else soon!

We picked this community, because it was newly remodeled, new memory care director who wants to work with families also to find the best activities and options for the residents, new fall detection system. I would recommend to others.

I was very happy with Maybelle Carter. MC is a beautiful facility. It is a good value for ur money. The activities inside and the outings are great. The recent remodeling is beautiful. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

Based on the experience so far we believe it is going pretty good, the community is always clean when we come to visit and from what we can tell the staff are taking really good care of him. We do not come when they are doing activities but we do know they play bingo a lot. Overall he seems to be happy with the meals even though occasionally some may be better then others. We would recommend this community to other families.

My mom loves everybody there! They are so good to her. Every single person is as kind as can be and is lovely to her. They're respectful to her. They just struggle with organization regarding housekeeping. When housekeeping does come, they do a wonderful job. Her apartment is spic and span. They don't come in and clean unless the resident is there, which we appreciate. It can be frustrating for my mom trying to plan her day when housekeeping doesn't show up, or they come later than their scheduled time. Either of those things would be okay by her if they were able to provide better communication around scheduling. There is a doctor that comes to Maybelle Carter a couple of times a week, and it's really easy to get an appointment. The doctor's nurse is fabulous and lets me know everything that is going on with my mom. The healthcare there is great, and we love how well they take care of her. The food isn't fancy but it's good, although it gets a little repetitive for her sometimes. Once she realized she could go thorough the cafeteria line herself (instead of having them serve her) she's been able to meet her dietary needs and preferences better. I am thrilled it is as affordable as it is. The apartment isn't fancy, but it's cute as a bug's ear and meets her needs. She has her own bathroom. There's no stove for safety reasons, but she has a microwave. Overall it has been great for her!

Sage Hill Maybelle Center is a really nice community we really do like it and the staff members are friendly. However one of the reasons we picked this community for our loved one was the meals and dining - we were told they were going to be updating it more to a restaurant style but they have yet to do that. It is more cafeteria styled and we are not impressed with the selection of the meals - there are no alternative options for the residents and if you want to order different options you have to order in advance.

Our family had an in person tour and when my brother and I went it was a great experience, but the second time around when we took our mother it was horrible, we thought they would really take to her and they did not it was a world of difference
Our family had an in person tour and the tour was great but at the time they were going through some construction with remodeling and we just felt that our loved one and her current state would find that to be disruptive
Though the assisted living seemed fine, it was not the best place for memory care and Alzheimer's. There was not enough staff, lack of activities, and their care for incontinence was not good. There were difficulties getting information from the director and the promised medical staff on site every week almost never occurred. Communication was lacking, but in regards to my concerns my loved ones care team were responsive. In the end it was difficult to get full information for her transfer, but we did get it. It could have been better, but we weren't there long-term. The lack of staff was the biggest problem. Her care team were wonderful, sweet, and caring. I never worried about her safety in that way, but I don't think it's as specialized towards Alzheimer's and it needs a greater level of care. I cant speak highly enough about the people and the techs in her unit. They were absolutely wonderful people who did so much, but I don't think the system was setup as well as it could have been. I could see myself wanting to be there for assisted living, but memory care was the problem. It's also important to mention that at the time, she was extremely difficult. She had a lot of aggression problems and it may have been a lot more than what they could deal with, especially without a doctor coming in. For other people it may be a good fit, but for us it was difficult with her advanced Alzheimer's.

We had some little problems at the very beginning but those were worked through. The rooms look a little dated and tired but they are remodeling which is an ongoing process and should be great. I visit my friend here often.
They switched ownership earlier this month so it is hard to tell what is going on. My loved one does not like the food and I do not feel he is receiving the best quality of care. There has been some medication issues and also they are short staffed at the moment and still trying to hire. Overall I feel like they need some improvement.

We chose Maybelle Carter because of the location as well as the value for the money. I also really like the director [name removed]. The apartment sizes are good, the bathroom is perfectly adequate. Sometimes the food is hit or miss from what I have heard. I like the layout of the facility, they have a nice backyard area with a garden and a covered porch where you can sit outside. They do have a lot to offer for the residents. I would recommend to others looking.

I would tell anybody to come and check it out I think anybody would be happy here. I love it. The staff are wonderful, and I love all of them. The food is really good. And I love my 2-bedroom apartment. It's spacious - I have more furniture than I thought I could fit in here, and it doesn't even look cramped.

We looked at a lot of different communities, and due to the value, price, staff this stands out on their care. This seemed less of a business feel compared to the others. Anytime we spoke to the staff they seemed to remember everything and seemed to really care. This is still this way, that they remember everything and give personalized attention to the family and residents. We don't have to worry or feel that we have to check up on our loved one due to the care.

The management is great to work with, and the communication is very good. They are quick to respond. They are open to feedback also. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this community to others.
