Great location!

My aunt lives at Atria La Jolla, it is a great place and she truly enjoys living there. Initially it was hard for her because her spouse had passed away and she sold her house. She has adjusted well and does not regret it one bit. I enjoy the location, it is centrally located in San Diego and near all freeways which makes visiting her so much easier. Thank you Atria La Jolla for having my aunt at your community.... Read more

NIce place to call home

This community is friendly and has a good range of services. It is in a good location and nice public locations in the community. The dining is also better than what we were expecting from this community. The weekly house keeping was also a nice touch for something we were not expecting.

When there is a problem, no time is wasted.

When there is a problem, no time is wasted. [name removed] and [name removed] fix everything! Since Chef [name removed] took over the dining, it has improved a lot! The front desk staff is very helpful--[name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]are all great! Favorite activities are Bingo and the live music.

What I love about my community...

I love the weekly games we have (Bingo, Bridge, etc.). Cynthia at the front desk is very capable and helpful. The waiters do their best with whos is on the team--I wish more will be hired. The residents here are very clown types with cheers me up.

Lovely community!

1. I like the "open door" policy with monthly meetings. 2. Privacy & concern for residents (i.e. phone calls) 3. Transportation is not only available for doctor appointments, but for outings! 4. I chose Atria La Jolla because of the full kitchen including dishwasher. It's located next to a large park and across from two shopping centers. There is a heated pool & hot tub, outdoor shower. Pets are allowed! Two beautiful courtyards.

Staff Deserves 6 Stars!

We have loved the staff from the first days when they helped us adjust to our new place and our new family. The residents are indeed like family complete with crank cousins. There is always a hug, all you have to do is open your arms and someone is there. The staff treats us like we are a favorite Aunt and Uncle. They care for us with respect, patience, and good will.

Alonso E - Toured community

Everyone (staff and residents) are friendliest I have found in similar places visited. Tho most are OLD here they seem to really have interest in every aspect of life. (Makes the day pleasant.) MANY ex New Yorkers here. That's good. Meals - no Chinese American food.

Staff and residents are friendly and very willing to help when needed. The meals can be improved with more non-meat options. low salt and reduced sugar options. The salads are usually very good - fresh! The grounds are well kept with lovely flowers and plants. The building is usually clean but the hallway carpets remain dingy even after deep cleaning because they are old, badly stained in certain areas, and quite worn out. Activities need improvement - more variety, better quality entertainment. Transportation service - extremely helpful! Overall I am pleased to live here.
