Value for cost
It is a good place but it is costly. The staff was very friendly. My mom did not like the food. My mom had a restricted diet and they did not follow her diet. The room sizes were decent. They had outdoor space for the residents in the middle of the building with chairs and bird feeders and a garden.
Upon arrival to a beautiful facility,we were welcomed by a very friendly male occupant, sitting outside on the porch who began to tell us about his day. Our host, [name removed] was welcoming and gave a complete tour of the facility. She answered all of our questions and allowed us to speak with the nurse and others. We had the opportunity to see occupants and others going about their daily tasks. It was a difficult decision to narrow our search, however, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.
Loved, love this place. The distance is the only drawback
Mom is here in this community and I can't say enough good things about Ashton Manor. She is in the memory care unit where the staff understands how to communicate with her. There is great communication between the staff and I. They will engage her to join the daily activities. The meals are nutritious and wonderful. It is very clean and there are no odors. It is just a bright, cheery and positive place. They have multiple courtyard areas they can enjoy. There are raised garden boxes and the landscaping is beautiful all the way back to the sun room. I would recommend this community. Also [Removed] the director is really nice to work with.
Everyone was very kind to my family, and myself during our tour. The community looked nice, and everything was nice, and clean. Our questions were answered. The staff was pleasant, and everything went well. Unfortunately I did find another community that suited our needs better.
We selected Ashton Manor because the facility is one - level and my mom could not handle getting in and out of an elevator or being on a floor higher than the ground floor. The facility is only 3 years old and very beautifully maintained both inside and out. The care givers are very helpful and friendly and the administrator is always available for questions. The living areas and bathroom are very spacious. The only complaint my mom has is about the food. There is not enough variety for her tastes and no alternatives are usually available. But overall I am very pleased with the care my mom is receiving.
The facility is beautiful. The staff was very nice. They knew everyone by name and all the residents seems to be very happy. Mom wants to live there. Unfortunately, it's a little bit more than she makes. We'll have to work on that!
