The community has lots of activities and it is kept neat and clean. The staff is very friendly and my loved one really loves it here. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
We chose Ashley Court because it was a smaller, homey facility which works out great for my mom, she can get to the dining room and activities room much easier. The other big reason was because every time I went here, residents were out of their rooms and in the common areas. The apartment sizes are on the smaller side. They have a ton of activities provided. My mother is not one to participate, but now I see pictures of her all the time on their website doing all of the activities. I would recommend to others who are looking, very friendly staff members.
Our family visits often, and we're very, very pleased with them. They've ben very accommodating. Our loved one has lived in other places where he was dirty and not well cared for. But at Ashley Court, every time we go to seem him, he's clean and shaven, although sometimes agitated, but they take really good care of him. And I would recommend them (and already have). I like that they have different levels of care, so the residents can interact with all sorts of people. All the people there are wonderful. The staff take good care of him, and tell him they love him. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it.
So far we have not seen any red flags and what we have seen of the community so far everything is clean. Our loved one has not really complained about the food and they offer a lot of activities. They are constantly keeping the residents busy. We do think the value for cost is pretty good.
We chose Ashley Court because they have 4 buildings that are geared towards different levels of dementia, so all memory care are not paired together. This way they can base activities on the level of care of each individual. They have different things going on every day and they are very creative. I cannot say enough good about them, it is strictly for memory care and I would recommend to others looking.
The community seems like they take good care of the residence. I feel this community is good for later stages of memory care. Communication is pretty good but I would like more info from the caregiver. I would recommend this community based on my experence
The one thing I think is a shortcoming is the person I spoke with initially didn't give enough information. I wish I had known to ask more questions about how to make my loved one more comfortable, for instance what personal belongings to bring, bedding, etc. I feel like I could have done so much better for my loved one had I known those things. After that, everyone else I interacted with was stellar. The food looks appetizing and plentiful. The activities are amazing. They keep the residents as physically busy as they can, with things like handicrafts and singing. The activities staff is the best.
It's a very nice community! Thank you to [name removed] ,for the walk-thru and talk. My mother will love it here and be well cared for!
They are very friendly and notify me anytime something happens. They are willing to assist you with whatever you need.
We chose Ashley Court because of the price and they were able to provide adequate care for my wife. The room sizes here are good, perfect for her needs. My favorite part about the facility was the head nurse, she was awesome. Overall, I would recommend to others.
Absolutely perfect fit for my mother! She is happy and safe! Truly a nice mix of food and companionships, with a wonderful staff and activities.
It is a nice well run place. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They have a lot of activities. It was just the cost which is on par with other places, it was too high. The room sizes good and the layout was easy to navigate.
As my Mom has declined the staff has not always kept up with her increased care needs. The food is good. The layout of the community is good and the room sizes are good. They have an outdoor space for the residents. They have done a good job keeping the family involved during Covid-19 with pictures and other communication.
It is not the best but it is not the worst. My mom was only there for a few months. The food was acceptable. The room sizes were ok but the bathroom was way too small for someone with a wheelchair or walker. They had outdoor space to sit and walk
Note: Some ratings are not valid. Unable to access or tour the facility or visit my wife due to Covid 19 restrictions. This review is a factual recap of events at Ashley Court-Brighton's Memory Care Campus. It is intended to alert anyone considering placing a loved one in their care. On [date removed] I tendered a check for $5317.00 to cover an admission fee and a prorated balance for April for my wife's residency. She was admitted the same day. She was diagnosed as suffering from severe dementia after a four day stay at St. John Providence-Novi hospital. She was transported to Ashley Court by Huron Valley Ambulance. The ambulance log clearly states: "purse left with patient." On [date removed] (three days later) she fell in her room and fractured her left femur. Staff told me she had fallen against the bedroom door and they had to climb through a window to rescue her. On [date removed] her fracture was surgically repaired at St. Joe's-Livingston hospital. On [date removed] she was admitted to Medilodge-Howell because Ashley Court couldn't provide the care she needed post surgery, It does not provide 24 hour/seven day nursing care or in-house rehabilitation services. Nursing care outside of the 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday schedule is on an as needed on-call basis. Also, on [date removed], I picked up from Ashley Court what I was told were all her belongings . At that point the staff knew my wife would not be returning. I assumed her account would be closed. NOT SO! I was billed for $4800 for May residency because I had not provided a 30 day notice of leaving. Admittedly, I had signed such a document but sincerely believed it would not apply, given the circumstances. I could not get the charge waived. After several conversations with the owner,[name removed] (sp?) and under the threat of a lawsuit, I was forced to pay $2400.00 to settle and close the account. His stated reason for not waiving the entire amount was he needed the $2400.00 to make payroll. On [date removed] my wife passed away in her sleep at Medilodge-Howell In summary, I have paid Ashley Court of Brighton a total of $7700.00 for 3 days of residency, a fractured femur and lost personal belongings. Sadly, it has taken four trips to recover my wife's belongings with each trip promised to be the last. Unfortunately, a purse, tri-fold wallet and small change purse are still unaccounted for although returned to me were three credit cards that were in her wallet. Please be aware of what could happen before you place your loved one in the care of Ashley Court of Brighton.
Ashley Court gets very high marks from me. The place is so friendly and the staff are wonderful and very professional. The activity directors are great at keeping the residents busy with activities to do. The nursing staff are very good. We felt so very lucky to have found Ashley Court. Even my mother's pastor , who visited her on several occasions, commented that the care she was receiving was so good. I need to add, that even in the last stages of her life, when she was bedridden, the staff always has my mom dressed, clean, and well cared for. It was really a good find for our family.
Great activities and caregivers creating great opportunities for residents.
Clean, a little older, not as many meal choices as other locations, and a lot of Dementia patients.
We recently moved my mother into Ashley Court of Brighton and she LOVES it! The staff is outstanding and they genuinely care for the residents. The rooms are very nice and the facility is clean. They have a lot of activities for the residents to participate in and the care is top notch. We are very pleased with Ashley Court of Brighton and would highly recommend this facility for anyone who is considering a memory care facility for one of their loved ones.
The care and attention that my loved one has received at Ashley Court, Brighton, has been and is TOP NOTCH. The community is very clean and the Staff is well trained, caring and patient. The Community setting is beautiful and tranquil. [Name removed] is FANTASTIC! She really knows her stuff. She has a gift for putting families at ease during what is probably one of the most difficult times a family will ever go through. The activities available at the Community are well planned, plentiful and EXCELLENT! Truly engaging. Regarding cost, I couldn't believe the value. If you are looking for a safe and caring home for your loved one, I hope that you will visit and consider Ashley Court, Brighton. I highly recommend them!
