[Name removed] CDP Director of Marketing went above and beyond helping us during the placement of my loved one in [date removed]. Once settled my loved one saw the activities going on (bowling I think) and my loved one left us, walked in, and joined the fun. This seems to be their favorite part of their day. My loved one eats everything served but you can request other menu options but I noticed most residents take what is served. There is a nurse and Aides assigned to each wing and they are very good to answer or find someone to answer any questions about your family member. The nurse director is very involved with residents, staff, and families. This is a closed memory care facility and safety is a priority and well maintained. They also have a secured walking trail outside. Compared to other facilities visited this was the best fit for my loved one.

You can expect 24-hour supervision from on-site caregivers specially trained in memory care. Medication management and an array of rehabilitation therapies are available, as well as hospice care. Each resident will have a unique care plan, developed in collaboration with their family.

Best Care for the Elderly
A place for Mom was extremely helpful in giving me the guidance that I needed to make the choice that I made. I never got the chance to thank the person who assisted me. But I would like to thank them now for taking the time to assist me at a very difficult time in my families life.

They strive to help the residents feel at home, and help the families understand the transition
Artis of Chestnut Ridge is a brand new facility, and has a really family orientated atmosphere. We really liked that fact that there are only 16 rooms per each wing and each wing has their own dining room, living room and porches. They also have a big main area where everyone can come together, and if you meet people on another wing or in the main area you can eat at their dining room. It is just great for those with memory issues, and the staff are wonderful.

I would make sure that you get the full details of what they will and will not handle of the resident, especially during the assessment.
The head nurse left to go to another community. All the staff are fine to work with.

It is has been good sa far
Our experience has been pretty limited due to the pandemic, and with our loved one being in memory care they do have their challenged but the staff is very good with dealing with our loved one. They are very responsive, helpful, and always willing to answer our questions. Right now there are not a lot of residents, they are not at full capacity so we can only assume our loved one is getting really good care.

The premier place for dementia care
My Sister and I were searching for the right facility for my dad and Artis was by far the best. Our dad passed prior to getting to the facility, but the attention, caring and knowledge of [names removed] was incredible. If your parent suffers from dementia this is the place to go.
