Room sizes are a "little" small but can vary as well. You can tell the building is a little on the older side but they have updated it quite nicely. The amenities are very nice and seem to be what all he residents like as well.

Allegro is an assisted living and memory care community surrounded by vibrant greenery in Florida’s capital, Tallahassee. At Allegro, seniors can feel at ease knowing they receive quality care and reside within driving distance of the local hospital.
The community offers a wide range of homelike living accommodations, including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartment options. Best of all, housekeeping and laundry services are provided. In addition to convenient services, the community has an on-call nursing staff available on site around the clock. Caregivers can help seniors with medication management and activities of daily living, like bathing, grooming, and dressing. Plus, residents can receive visits from physicians on site.

I feel confident Allegro staff will watch after my brother as needed.
Alegro is always clean and everyone is friendly. I feel that my brother is safe there. If something goes arrive, I'll depend on the staff to give me a call so we can fix it right away. I feel good every time I visit him and relief that he lives there.

Our families experience
My daughter , [name removed] , feels the need to go once a week and clean her grandaddy's room because she does not find it to be acceptable. My family and I have never felt so welcome as have at allegro. and I am very grateful for the quality of care. The meals and dining service is just absolutely the best. Activities seem very involving and entertaining for the residents and I enjoy seeing what they are doing although I can't get my daddy out of the library to do anything! My dad, even though it is not his home of 60 years, he is very content and comfortable living at allegro . And, no words can express the piece of mind that we as a family have just knowing that he is there and being taken care of by your staff. Overall, Allegro is a 5 star facility.
I feel the need to explain why as a family we gave a score of 3 on cleanliness . I personally find everything to be acceptable in cleanliness , but my daughter finds the need to go in once a week with her vacuum cleaner and tub scrubber and give the room a good scrub down.

We toured Allegro when searching for an Independent Living facility. Overall, this facility seemed good. Everything appeared to be nice and clean. However, they have a lot of staff turnover, which is not good. I decided to continue on with my search.

The community at Allegro was beautiful, but an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone
The woman I worked with at "a place for mom" was wonderful! My mom and her husband went to Allegro. Her aide left her in the bathroom and my mom fell. She went to the hospital and then rehab. She was in rehab for 3 months. When she was about to return to Allegro, the head of nursing from Allegro came and "re-assessed" her. They said they would only be assessed once for life. She couldn't pivot in the 2nd assessment, so they wouldn't let her return. Their lease wasn't up, so her husband couldn't leave. My mother had to come live with my husband and me, and has for the last year and a half. It is very expensive and we have lost our freedom. We are so angry about what happened. She hasn't seen her husband in that year and a half either. He's now in a nursing home and his children will not allow him to send my mother money. Big disaster!

Our families experience
The management team as far as the director and executive directors are exquisite, especially the director [name removed]. She has gone above and beyond at this community, the reason this place is still running is because of her. She is always there to make sure things are running smoothly and always on top of everything. When our loved one has to leave for rehab, she goes and visits her on her own time. She calls us constantly with updates, and even the assistant director goes out of her way to make sure things get done. They are truly amazing. Now for the head nurse and nursing aids that is a different story. The nurse constantly says nasty and rude things to our loved one and is constantly yanking her to get her to move which she has no business doing. The nurses are very rough, they think they are in charge and are not open to hearing feedback. However, when it comes to the covid safety protocols they have been superior with their protection. They have done a wonderful job and honestly nobody could of done a better job.

This is a vibrant and beautiful community and based on other communities cost this one is really good. They have activities like bingo, games, and exercises to keep everyone in the community active.

Gangsta Grannies
This is the most marvelous place. My mother and aunt both lived at "Heritage Oaks" now Allegro. The staff is fabulous. I could not have asked for a better place for both of them. I couldn't have had a better friend than [name removed] to love and take care of both of them. My Aunt was one of the original Gangsta Grannies that entertained all over Tallahassee. they both made such great friends there!

My mother and aunt, fondly known as "The Twins" spent 10 years at Allegro, beginning at the time it was still called the Oaks. They enjoyed it immensely, leaving only when their failing health in their mid-90's required a boost. they loved the staff, other residents, the food, and the beautiful surroundings-natural and physical. Allegro was a God send for our family.

Warm Feeling
I was so happy to know that my mom would be getting such great care at Allegro. She passed away a year ago and when I come to visit I still get such a warm welcome!. If I had to decide again, I would choose Allegro!

Wonderful Place
My father lived at Allegro for 4 wonderful years. He loved everyone there. The staff isexcellant and they have wonderful activities for the residents and amenities. I would recommend Allegro to provide great care for your loved one.

Nice place
We liked this community when we visited. The people we met were friendly. They seem to offer some nice amenities. This community was just a little to far away and a little more expensive than what we were looking for.
