The staff have been amazing. They have lots of activities going on all of the time. They do things like yoga twice a week, senior aerobics 3 days a week, theatre group, a salt water indoor pool, library, movie theatre, gym, card room, craft room, a pub that provides beer and wine twice a week, etc. They put out a calendar every month with what will be going on. I think the value for the money is great, I checked other places and the prices here are wonderful. Maintenance staff is friendly and very responsive. The apartments are not upscale by any means but they are nice and clean. Meals are not provided but food trucks do stop a couple times a week out front and they put flyers up when that is happening. We do have free coffee downstairs available at all times. I would recommend Affinity at Round Rock.... Read more

Our family had an in person tour and it was a great experience but at the time they did not have a one bedroom apartment available.

My husband and I moved here in May 2021. We absolutely love it. The management is amazing. Whatever you need they are on it. The amenities are great. Never a dull moment. There is always something to do. Yes, some things get canceled, but that is because management cares about us. With all the illness going on, it’s good not to have large crowds, so bigger events like Happy Hour get canceled. The people here are fantastic. They really look out for their neighbors. When I had to quarantine, there was no shortage of people willing to pick things up from the store for me as my husband was hospitalized for several months. I’ve never met a more caring group. Even management checked on me daily. I thank God for leading us to Affinity and I hope to live here for many years to come.

They kept the community clean. During the freeze here, and allowed workers to stay in apartments. The manager makes me not want to go back there, even if they gave me a free room for a year. The new manager was horrible. The manager called an emergency meeting about a letter written about her. Then it was a mandated meeting for dog owners, because someone didn't take care of their dog outside. I would have liked for a letter to be sent to us, rather than a crowded environment to talk to us about this during a pandemic.

After living here for two years and regretfully signing up for another two, I would not suggest you move in here, but look for many places that are better. People are moving out constantly. The amenities they advertise do not function half of the time and this place is poorly built. You also will not have decent communication from management or corporate. The people here are the best, as far as the residents go, but we are not having any appreciation shown to us, whatever. There will be no more happy hours or wine offered or any special treats or celebrations, unless the residents drive them. It is definitely hands-off from management.

Affinity is a great community, and I love it here! All the utilities are included with the monthly cost. They have everything we need here. The room has great space for my loved one and me. If I have any needs the maintenance man is right there. He has been by himself, and I think that says a lot.

I was here primarily in the midst of the pandemic with limited activities and that is why my scores are a little lower. I chose Affinity in the beginning because it is in a really location, close to shopping, medical facilities, a park, etc. The apartment sizes here were on the smaller side, there is no walk in closet so there is not a lot of storage. I think generally the residents were all very friendly and supportive and it was easy to fit in. Overall, I would recommend to others looking. The residents here are older rather than younger.

I am very pleased with this community. If I could have I would have rated it a 10. Hurry up, and get your reservations as the rooms are going quickly. The front line workers have been wonderful with assisting the residents.

Terrible! 1 step above a nursing home. Why it's called "active" is anyone's guess. Interim management waltzes in and doesn't make introductions. Pool is 3-1/2 ft deep... mustn't let the old ppl drown. Poor construction and boring materials.

What a mistake it was to move here! Might as well hang onto your money until you need to be in a nursing home....this is only 1 step away. The building is made from the cheapest of materials, and the workmanship is subpar. There is some interim person up front who has not introduced himself, not responded to my letter, nor acknowledged me when I spoke to him. He is in MY house, but I don't want it. There has been no leadership during the pandemic [removed].

After looking at all the various kinds of Independent Living solutions we have found a very pleasant solution that brings the best features of Independent Living into a balanced, fun solution. Affinity at Round Rock offers everything we are looking for while still cooking our own meals and doing our own Housekeeping. While there may surely be a need in the future where meals and Housekeeping would be required we simply are not there yet. This place has an energetic property manager and staff that makes being inside the building FUN. The residents were very welcoming and we think eventually many will be our friends when we make the move. For now, we still have a lot to do before we sign a lease but we now know where our next home will be. We will visit periodically and attend events as they have invited us to start enjoying the social lifestyle to meet with and socialize with our eventual new neighbors. [Name removed] was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide for our visit and a very sweet person with a gentle soul.

I really liked this place from the beginning, from looking at the website to visiting the facilities. I have met [name removed] and [name removed]. They are very nice and caring people. I loved the facilities. They are cheerful, sophisticated, clean, well maintained, well thought out, resident-led activities, great common areas, heated saltwater pool, etc (I could go on and on). My mom agreed to apply for residency here sight unseen at my word. Amazing in itself! We hope to have her here within the next couple of weeks. In another ten years, I may consider moving in here myself.
