I would highly recommend this community for you or your loved one. The staff are excellent. The tour was great and they answered all of my questions and showed me around to everything.
Our family has had some positive and negatives with Affinity. Our loved one is no longer there but while they were the community was very clean, immaculate location, everything was well maintained. The atmosphere was great, with a lot of amenities. However because of covid a lot of things were limited or were sign-up only. All the prices were included which was awesome so the residents didn't have to worry about increases/decreased in pricing. There were a lot of things to do there whether you were a single person living there or a couple. The residents were always extremely friendly, very talkative, welcoming and kind. Now the negatives, was during the initial sign up process, on their website (it may be fixed now) but at the time the pricing of the units were incorrect. What they advertised online and what the actual pricing was, was significantly higher. When we brought this to their attention and asked questions, we were either dismissed or not given a real answer. The lady in the front office was just dismissive and never gave straight answer. Also the parking situation was not the best. A good portion of the folks there used some type of cane, walker or wheelchair, and even though there was a decent amount of parking for the residents, those even with walkers, or wheelchairs wouldn't get a front row spot, or a close spot at all. The layout of the parking lot was a cluster and not very well thought out.
I love it here. It is a fantastic place to live. The people are nice. The staff is helpful. And the housekeeping staff is really wonderful. It's a nice place to get to know people. I have met quite a few people since I've been here. They offer games, trivia, bingo, and there's a movie theater where once a month one of the residents puts on a movie. When we can, we'll have barbeques or potlucks. We have meet and greets and happy hour once a week.
I would tell others that I think you need to thoroughly check this place out before moving in here.
Affinity is clean, quiet, friendly ,well designed, good appliances, convenient to shopping and medical care. The staff is caring and friendly. The facilities are currently not available, but will be great when the covid-19 restrictions are lifted. I highly recommend Affinity to anyone wanting senior living.
