I appreciate AccordCare because they really came at a time when it was extremely needed. the first day I walked in, one of the overnight caregivers ushered me upstairs to get some sleep. this was wonderful because I hadn't slept in days. I was able to sleep that day, knowing that my loved one was being cared for. the same lady came in on a Saturday at 7am, on her off day, to help me pack some things up for my loved one. I'm an Atlanta, Georgia local and appreciate all that they've done. I have no complaints whatsoever.

Our Experience
I would recommend them. For the industry, they are good. No one is going to be perfect but they are not bad. Dependability on the caregivers was an issues. If there was a call in, we were just stuck without help.

Great Service from AccordCare
AccordCare has delivered highly professional and effective support for my aging family members in Atlanta. Last year, their health deteriorated to the point where my family suddenly needed to significantly upgrade the intensity and quality of 24-hour medical coverage and support. AccordCare has been thorough, compassionate, rapid, and effective in delivering what my loved ones needed.

Compassionate caregivers
Accordcare cared for my family member. We had two female caregivers who came in daily and helped with bathing, meals and companionship. They were a breath of fresh air in a difficult time. We were very hesitant to have someone in our home. I'm so glad Accordcare made it easy. I highly recommend.

Our families experience
The management in the beginning was super friendly and our first care taker [name removed] was wonderful. If she was late and it would only be by 20 minutes, she would stay after to make it up. She was so attentive to our loved and really went the extra mile to show him how to do things. The second care taker would show up multiple hours later and guilt trip our loved one, and the third one would show up but just be on her phone or barely help. It was just inconsistent.

Quality company with compassionate caregivers
We used AccordCare/ A hand to hold for my Mother-in-law. We had a few different people and each one was loving and attentive to her needs. This company does very in-depth background screening on their people which really put my family at ease.

Caring and professional Caregivers
A Hand to Hold provided my family with several wonderful caregivers for my mother. It was a stressful and emotional time for my family. We needed skilled care and workers who were empathetic to the pain my mother was in and knew how to properly move her. One caregiver would sing to her and pray with her and that really meant so much to us. 5 stars is not enough for this company!

Very unorganized company.
Hand to Hold is very unprofessional. My 86 year old mom had a lady come to the house 4 hours a week. She stayed on the phone and went to sleep. She took money from my mom too. I called and they said they would send someone else and she never showed up twice. I'm done, I'm moving on to Visiting Angels they are much better. They seem to be much more professional. Don't waste your time with this very unorginazed company.

Caring & Trustworthy
I reached out to A Hand To Hold for my Father after he had a fall. I was quit skeptical and very nervous as I wanted my Father to feel comfortable with caregivers coming in his home. The lady who I first spoke with was so incredibly helpful and kind as she knew I was so concerned and stressed. We never had any complaints about the caregivers. Everyone was very compassionate. My Father was well taken care of. Calls were returned promptly. Five stars is not enough to give this company.

A Hand to Hold was there for my family during one of the worst times in our life..We desperately needed caregivers who knew what they were doing and how to properly lift and care for a patient in extreme pain from bone cancer. They delivered with very dedicated and trained Certified Nursing Assistants as well as an amazing RN. A few of the caregivers would sing, pray and hold her hand! I can't say enough about how much comfort this brought to my family. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone. The prices were competitive and quite reasonable.

DO NOT USE THEM!!!
I hired A Hand to Hold to come into my home 3 days per week for my father who has Alzheimer's. During the initial interview, we told the nurse, [name removed], that we have two dogs and the person needs to be okay with animals. Day one they sent out a woman who is afraid of dogs and couldn't stay because of this. I spoke with [name removed] and she said that they were short staffed and that would never happen again. One week later they sent the same woman out and she had to leave again! They were supposed to send a new person out today and no one showed up! I cannot believe it. Wednesdays are the day they are supposed to take my father to the movies and he had his heart set on going and now he's heart broken. Again, he has Alzheimer's so it's hard to explain to him why no one showed up. I called [name removed] again because no one called to tell us there wasn't going to be anyone coming. Se had no idea no one showed up. In my eyes this is absolutely unacceptable! She had no excuse and couldn't explain why no one called us. If you have a loved one that needs care DO NOT use this company! I am shocked at how unprofessional this has all been after only two weeks! To do this to someone with Alzheimer's in their already fragile state blows my mind!!!

Total Fail
I hired them to make sure my mother takes her medicine on time. She had not taken it for two weeks and ended up in dangerous situations. I paid them up front, so far they have missed 3 of her appointments in just 3 days. I have to call constantly. This is what I paid them for. Also, my mom had an accident 3 days ago on the carpet. They told my mom they would get it taken care of when it is normally taken care of by building maintenance. She assumed he was going to let maintenance know her carpet needed to be cleaned, but he didn't. Due to miscommunications and a broken promise, my 81 year old mother is now spending her 3rd day in unsanitary conditions. Please don't use this place if you care about your mom.

Horrible company. For God's sake, call someone else. not only did they not follow their contractual obligations on a daily basis they ran an hour and 45 minutes to 3 hours late on a regular basis and left my 82 year old mother at dialysis with an average of an allen 45 minutes to 2 hours late at that point. They never did dinner meal prep I always had to come home to feed my mother because she never had proper nutrition during the day. My mother's Dialysis group would call me all the time to tell me how concerned they were for my mother's well being.

Do not use this agency
I hired A Hand to Hold to stay with my mother round-the-clock for a few days while she recovered from a fall and needed extra help. Most of the caregivers were fine, but one fell asleep and did not even awake when her replacement arrived in the morning causing my mother to have to get up to answer the door. When I complained, they told me they would give me a reimbursement for that shift, but I only finally received reimbursement after several follow-up calls and finally submitting a dispute through my credit card. I would not recommend this agency.
