Common Areas

All common areas at AAA are designed with ease of access for our limited-mobility residents. The main living space is open-concept and made complete with a traditional red-brick fireplace, big enough for everyone to gather around, along with a gorgeous, high-vaulted, wood-beam ceiling. Everyone has a comfy recliner to sit in front of flat-screen TV and watch their favorite programming. It is the space most utilized by our residents for its comfort and space, big enough to accommodate all sorts of activities, games, and gatherings.

Our kitchen is modern and beautiful with no-slip hardwood floors, white cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. The dining area, which also has a fireplace, is another space where we bring all of our residents together – a perfect place to enjoy meals and share stories.

In our outdoor common areas, we have a sweetly designed back patio with tables, chairs, and umbrellas all surrounded by a desert-landscape garden consisting of flowering succulents, a lemon tree, and much more. If you have a green thumb, this area will surely excite your spirit as there is more than enough space for an array of plant life. Or, if you simply want a space to relax and enjoy that Pacific breeze and magical weather while you listen to the slow, creaking rhythm of our little windmill, this is just the spot.

Activities

Our care staff works to keep everyone stimulated physically and mentally, with various activities organized to appeal to a multitude of interests. With new residents, we want to get to know what you like so that we can keep you active in the most personalized ways we can. Parties are big for everyone here, and we love to celebrate on birthdays and holidays. That charismatic California weather always takes us outside to host BBQs, picnics, and outdoor activities of all kinds. Just let us know what you like to do, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Local Area

Mission Viejo of Orange County rests in the Saddleback Valley of Southern California. It is nestled against the Saddleback mountain range directly to its east and is famous for its tree-lined neighborhoods, even being recognized by the National Arbor Day Foundation. It is a mostly upper-income city with plenty to do for retired seniors. Only ten miles from the Pacific Ocean and its seemingly never-ending beaches, a beach day is never far away. The area is also home to many parks, both big and small – Mission Viejo is known to average two parks per square mile. The allure of nature is never far away, as the foothills of the Saddleback Mountains provide multiple wildlife habitats, wilderness parks, and walking trails. We are also home to world-class shopping and dining, with the famous Shops at Mission Viejo and the Kaleidoscope Courtyards providing any retail need you could imagine. The beautiful and equally impressive Mission Viejo Garden Plaza is less than a mile down the road from our home. Grocery stores, both conventional and organic/natural, are all within a 1.5 mile radius of AAA. Golf courses and country clubs are another favorite pastime of our area seniors, and local clubs and greens are never far away. The Mission Hospital at Mission Viejo, the largest hospital in Orange County, is only four miles away and is equipped with a world-class trauma center. Local fire, EMT, and police are nearby and ready to respond quickly if immediate needs ever arise.

Medical Services

At AAA, we create a comprehensive care plan for all our residents and stay up-to-date on the evolution of any medical needs. Care and supervision is provided to all of our residents by our nurturing team of trained staff members. We can make arrangements with an on-call doctor along with visiting nurses, specialists, and occupational therapists comprising a spectrum of rehabilitation efforts. We can even schedule visits from a dentist to make sure our residents’ smiles remain comfortable and healthy. Our caregivers are able to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including incontinence and colostomy care, when needed. The needs of residents with disorientation or lack-of-awareness issues are calmly and patiently responded to by our trained staff, as well. With our high staff-to-resident ratio, we can assure that every one of our residents' care needs are met.

Adriana and her staff are very caring, wonderful caregivers. My wife and I are so thankful that our 96 year-old aunt is in such good hands. We highly recommend them for a loved one to reside.
