I placed my Mom in a home on Peachtree in Lewisville a month ago and she is very happy living there. Mom is in her own room and has received the most compassionate and loving care. Monday through Friday, the same caregivers are there to assist with her needs which includes bathing, transfer to chair and/or bed as needed. Both [names removed] treat her with kindness and show real concern in helping her get back to caring for herself. We both are very happy that we found this place that’s to A Place for Mom. [Names removed] and his wife [names removed] own and run these homes and reach out to both of us on regular basis which is much appreciated.
Response from 4 Seasons Senior Living PlanoOctober 30, 2020
Thank you for the very kind words. We want to make sure everyone is happy.
This is to let anyone know that if you are considering 4 Season's Senior Living to get what they say in writing. I placed my 84 year old mother with them in April 2016. They gave me a rate which was great and fit my mother's income. They made a verbal promise (I should have had them put it in writing--a learning experience for me) that the price would never increase. Everything ran smoothly until December 28, 2017 when I was requested by the owner [name removed] to meet with him. I was informed at the meeting that they wanted to increase my mother's rent $800 per month. I explained that she could not meet that financially as it would take her entire income. They said they wanted to work with the families and were willing to come down to $3100. I asked what happened to the verbal agreement that the price would never increase. The response I got was that they didn't know (back in 2016) what they were doing. Then I was told by [name removed] that he could get $4,000 if he really wanted to. Needless to say, I started looking immediately for another home for my mom. Also, [name removed] also stated that the increase in payment would take effect immediately and the new amount would be due January 1, 2018. Because I had already paid her original rent, I paid the extra because I felt like I had no choice. Come to find out, in the State of Texas [name removed] was suppose to give a minimum of 30 days written notice of an increase in rent (this is to allow a resident time to either pay the new rent or time to look for another place to live). Needless to say, he did not do so. I asked him to return the additional amount of payment because I was moving my mom to another home. He has never responded to my request.Reviewed on A Place For Mom
