Living Options and Amenities
Residents at 220 Harper are offered private rooms with private bathrooms, as well as companion suites for those who would like to live with a roommate. Pets are welcome in our home, and there is more than enough space to accommodate them. Our rooms and bathrooms are designed to accommodate residents of limited mobility, with enough space for wheelchair and walker access. Living quarters include heating and air conditioning, plus free access to cable satellite TV. All rooms are equipped with an emergency alert system, so help can arrive at a moment’s notice.
We provide residents with three meals throughout the day in our comfortable and social dining room. There is even a fitness area just for getting in some movement. We have an expansive yard complete with large decks, a patio garden, and more than enough room for everyone to take in the sun and breathe our exhilarating fresh air. Care Types Offered
220 Harper is licensed as an assisted living facility which provides Type A services. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:
A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:
Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.
Type B: A facility may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.
Type C (Adult Foster Care): 4-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
