Assisted living communities arrange organized living communities and assistance to people who may need support with washing or preparing meals. In total, there can be no more than 1 residents to a room. There must be one toilet for every 1 residents and one bath or shower for every 1 residents. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 6. Staff are required to obtain training in a variety of areas. These areas include the values of community-based care, fire safety, infection control, and abuse and reporting requirements. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include transportation services, health services, 24-hour emergency care service, and assist psychosocial wellbeing.
