Department of Health, Protective Health Services, Long-term Care Services certifies this community type. There is a maximum occupancy of 2 residents per room. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 2. There must be one toilet for every 4 residents and one bath or shower for every 4 residents. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include housekeeping, laundry, intermittent nursing care, and assistance with cognitive orientation. Public assistance is available through the Medicaid 1915(c) Advantage Program, the Sooner Services Program, and the My Life My Choice Program. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include observe the swallowing of oral medications and provide medication administration. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include must use a licensed dietician to develop diet plan, staff must be trained in food preparation, and must provide three meals a day. Staff members receive education in a variety of subjects. These include: residents’ specific needs, cpr, and first-aid.
