An assisted living community is a residential community which provides aid, care, and supervision to healthy persons who do not need skilled nursing services. Assisted living communities frequently offer care supervision, help with the activities of daily life, and help with appointments and transit. Under certain circumstances, communities may provide dementia care, continuing care, or respite. The monthly median cost for a private room is around $10,494 and the cost for a semi-private room is around $9,581 . These include social/recreational activities, crisis intervention, personal care, and health/safety services.
