Public assistance is available through Medicaid 1915(c) Waiver programs (Elderly, Traumatic Brain Injury, Community Alternatives for Disabled Adults, and Community Alternative Care).This type of community is required to have a staff member on duty 24 hours a day. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include reasonable assistance with arranging transportation, Periodic opportunities for socialization, assistance with at least three activities of daily living , and weekly housekeeping. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include housing with service establishments that use the term assisted living must provide two meals per day.
