There must be one toilet for every 1 residents and one bath or shower for every 1 residents. The minimum number of residents for this facility type is 25. This type of facility is required to have a staff member on duty 24 hours a day. This type of facility is required to offer a number of services. These include assisted living care, the provision of assisted self-preservation, described as personal services, and administration of medications by a certified medication aide. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to make sure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as assessment to determine the resident's physical care needs, whether family supports are available, assessment to determine the resident's medical needs, and A written care plan must document the assessment findings.
