Review ofDanberry at Inverness
4.5

We chose Danberry at Inverness because my mother really liked the grounds, she loves to be outdoors and walk so that was important. They have a 2 bedroom apartment and it is generous size. I do know that they are short staffed but that is a temporary problem. Overall it has been a positive experience and I would recommend them.

Since covid maintenance is not working at all. I would just advise to be aware. There are a lot of promises made but there is not as much follow through. This is mainly with maintenance and the urgency to respond to the request. My mom is with nice people but all they talk about is all of the issues but she is happy and that's what matters.

We chose Elmcroft of Grayson Valley because they were one of the cheaper ones in the area, especially if you have a roommate. Even though it is a shared room, they have their own bedrooms and then they share a bathroom and living room. Their administrator came to our house since this was during covid and made the transition easier for us. Their caregivers have been awesome, they treat my mother like she is the only one there. They call me about anything and have been great with communication from the get go. They have a nurse on staff 24/7 which gives me peace of mind as well. The location of the facility is great, it is centrally located to a lot of different things that you might need. I could not ask for a better place for my mom and I would highly recommend them to others who are looking.

We chose Peachtree because she has severe heart problems and it was only 3 minutes away from my sisters house. She is in independent living but they also have assisted living available. They have been good with communication and send me weekly updates which I really appreciate. The meals are chef prepared and you get a choice off of a limited menu. It is a bright, clean, friendly facility and they have a lot of things to keep the residents occupied. They have local transportation as well so for someone looking for something in independent living, this is the perfect place. I would recommend them.

I love this place - it's excellent. I've been very, very impressed with the facility. The director has been fantastic. You couldn't ask for a better person to work with. I've found everybody there to be very caring and considerate. The staff always let me know what's going on with my loved one, which I appreciate living out of state. My loved one is always clean and in great shape. Anyplace I've been inside, it's been clean. The people there are always happy and smiling. There are no care level increases, so the rate you move in with is the rate you pay. And they're very reasonable. It's been the best choice I've made. My only issue is I need my loved one to be closer to me, and I wish I could just pick up Plantation Manor and transplant them to the area where I need him to be!

From the first time that I visited Galleria Woods, I knew that it was the place for me! I love my Garden Home and the privacy that it gives me overlooking the Cahaba River. I enjoy my walks up to the "Big House" for meals and activities: watching the seasons change and getting a little exercise at the same time. We have a variety of activities, some of which I participate in, and our meals are really tasty. You will find that all of the residents are very friendly and supportive, while all of the staff members are most helpful and understanding. We chose Legacy Ridge because we liked the fact it was very clean and everything looked new, they had just remodeled. It was also less expensive than some of the other facilities that we were looking at. Overall the staff especially weekend staff are just really friendly and helpful. My mothers main complaint is she requests condiments to be on or off items and sometimes they do not put it on there, so it would be great if they could put those things on the side. There was an adjustment period but she is doing well now. I would recommend to others looking.
