Senior Apartments in Washington

Washington has earned its nickname as “The Evergreen State” for its wide swaths of coniferous forest. Many people may be most familiar with Seattle and its iconic Space Needle, but the eastern half of the state has a personality all its own, with a serene desert beauty akin to parts of Idaho or Montana. In contrast, Washington’s Pacific Coast is home to an actual rainforest. The state’s varied landscape as well as its relatively mild climate make it an ideal retirement destination.

The median monthly cost of a senior apartment in Washington is about $1,200. A Place for Mom’s Senior Living Advisors can help you find 55+ communities in Washington state.

SHAG Alderwood Court in Lynnwood, WA
5.0

My experience with Alderwood Court has been good. The staff there is wonderful. They've been very helpful from the very beginning. The facility is in a great location, close to restaurants and shopping centers. It's very new looking, and kept really clean. In the apartment, it's really safe and secure. They explained to her how everything works. They also helped my mom find other resources as well. Overall, very impressed.

Cedar Park Apartments in Seattle, WA
3.5

Cedar Park Apartments are very clean. I am getting used to the staff. They are friendly. I do have a small room and I don't even have a balcony. I would like to see my rate that I pay lowered. Overall the staff are trying. They know that they needed to be more warm and they did change. This facility is very clean and that's important. I had someone above me stomping around and luckily they moved me to a different apartment. I really appreciated that.

The Winslow Manor in Bainbridge Island, WA
5.0

We were very lucky to find Winslow Manor via the internet slightly over 2 years ago. Our son that lives in Seattle did a site visit for us since we were still in Chicagoland for my husband’s last job. It was easy to become part of the community by having nightly dinner with the residents. You can develop close friendships or be as independent as you wish. The nutritious meals are prepared with fresh ingredients. Dinners are served Monday through Friday at 5. You have the choice of bringing meals to your apartment. The kitchens are fully equipped so I frequently prepare our meals. The landscaping is lovely and well maintained as is the building. They welcome small pets which was a must for us. The staff is always helpful and professional. They can be reached by phone, email and maintenance request forms that are in the lobby.
