My late husband received great care here. I felt he was respected, well looked after, and the staff was very kind. I was also impressed by the outings they went on to museums, plays, apple orchards, and even fishing boat excursions. This group home environment was very good for my spouse. It felt like a happy family environment with the residents and staff.

My late husband received very good care here. The group home environment made the transition easier. Though his dementia was quite severe and his speech very limited, I believe he particularly enjoyed the deck and backyard, outings they took, the food, and a caring staff.

Cannot admin insulin shots. OK as long as he can do his own, with supervison. - Only bed available is on second floor, in St Paul and Mtka. - Not a good fit if the dementia ever changes to where he can't administer his own insulin.

Heard good things about them from friend and relative of client - NO ELEVATOR - won't work. Renovations may be finished by year end?????

I am a nurse, and I was stunned by the mistreatment that I discovered when I paid surprise visits to the facility. My mother was a Medicare/ Medicaid patient having exhausted all funds over a long course of illness. I would pop in and find my mom confined in a geriatric chair in a common area at 9:30 p.m., long past her bedtime. There were other residents poking her in the eyes and pulling her hair- no staff in the room supervising. I found my mother several times in garments soiled in feces and disposable pads with feces left on the floor of the room. They forcibly restrained her and drew her blood without the consent of the medical power of attorney. When we filed complaints with the State, the director and house manager became hostile, making my mother's final days of life a nightmare. I have photos of the conditions at that place that I am happy to share.
