Independent Living

An Independent Living Community allows residents the choice to live their active lives while ensuring their basic needs are being met. Food preparation, leisure activities and housekeeping duties are taken care of for you while you are able to use your time as you wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Residents' quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to entertain guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of private medical providers, they may always do so. There are an assortment of expenditures and advantages to keep in mind when deciding on an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are included in your care plan: transportation, laundry, cable TV, wellness program, meals, housekeeping, internet access, and Waiting list deposit. The conveniences associated with independent living include beauty salon & barber shop, game/TV room, concierge services, laundry service, transportation, community activities, restaurant-style dining hall, and security guards.
