While the location looks perfect, it is impossible to get in touch with these people. Consequently, the scheduled tour never took place.

If you like a lot of noise from garbage trucks banging the garbage bins at 5:00 in the morning, or a CATERING BUSINESS with noisy refrigerated trucks lined up and running. And delivery trucks jockeying for space with the Republic Garbage and Catering Trucks, Or those annoying backing up alarms going on and off at once. Or if you like a building managed by insensitive management and a lot of early morning and afternoon noise, then The York House is a place for you to live.

My dad is doing very well. Everything there is great and is the right level of care. The staff are professional, caring, and attentive. They are willing to help me with any concerns. They have been great people to work with especially with my circumstances. My dad makes his own meals and has all the amenities to prepare his meals.

My father is doing pretty well here at this retirement community. We are satisfied with all they have done for us. We did have some minor issues at first, but they have since corrected the issues. They do a very good job with the cleaning, everything looks spotless. The staff isn't bad, they have been very helpful. There are many activities offered. Everything is working out well and I would recommend it.

I’d give the friendliness of the staff a ten out of five. Great place – great place for seniors! It’s clean, friendly. I went to the orientation with my loved one and the food was delicious. They Zumba class, jazz, oldies but goodies night, the veterans come in and spend time with the other veterans. They have a lot going on. They’re keeping my loved one busy.

This is a totally independent community where neighbors look out for one another. This is not the best option for her.

My mother toured the York House, it was very impressive because of all of the amentities, the social activities, the 24hr.security-on each floor,on-grounds,throughout building, the availability of shuttles, freedom of independence. The down side of this visit was the size of the studio apartment and cost. The size of a two bathroom apt.and cost.It was conveyed, just imagine a one bathroom apt.at an difference rate for rent. Their weren't any 1bth/1apt. available.

No two bedrooms; one bedroom two baths; strange layout. About 1500 a month plus 300 for second person; can get dinner for 300 a month. Concern regarding neighborhood (N Broad st) and some studios subsidized.
