I think there's only 35 residents, which gives it a nice family vibe. My grandma loves how it's \"out in the country.\" The staff are very nice, caring and helpful! They don't communicate frequently with the family, but they would reach out if necessary and if we requested them to. The move in process was clear, quick and the staff were welcoming. They take the residents to fun, different places such as a sheep farm, Walmart, dollar store, and to drive around the mountains to see the fall leaves changing color. They have many activities to keep them busy like Bingo, arts and crafts, children coming to sing, movie nights, spirit week including a Luau and Elvis Presley impersonator sing and dance. The staff held a meeting and asked the residents what they could improve on. My grandma raised her hand and asked if they could get better food. They asked her what she wanted and the next week they brought her soft tacos. She was thrilled that they listened to her feedback and all of the other residents enjoyed the new item on their menu. I would definitely recommend The Maynard! From administration on down they are the most caring people I have ever seen. They worked tirelessly to assure my mom's transition was as smooth as possible. Not only does she get great care physically, she also receives great emotional support! They frequently check on her to make sure her needs are met and even pop in for a chat as time allows. During the Pandemic, they really showed what they are made of. My mom never wanted for a thing. Staff would work overtime, sometimes even double shifts!
