No where on earth better for my precious mother! Love from them and love and gratitude from her and us her family! My mom is now in Hospice care at The Cottages and they treat her with such dignity, compassion and kindness. We couldn't be more blessed by the experience! The Cottages at Martin Lake is a privately owned by a RN who lives next door. It was designed and is run to be a home she would feel comfortable placing her own father. After a life time of work and service, seniors deserve to have the very best and that is what this home provides! The small setting of only 6 residents allows for individualized care/support and the amenities promote families to want to visit often. The home is located in Newaygo County on Martin Lake which is a small private lake fed by Artesian Wells, and stocked with fish. We are conveniently located near shopping, churches, and Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital while being situated in a beautiful natural setting teamed with wildlife. All of the private suites have a wheelchair friendly full bathroom, individual climate control, radiant floor heat, Cable/Dish hook up/WIFI, and a view of the lake.<br>Residents can enjoy the many activities that are planned or enjoy the outdoors by bird watching or tinkering in the raised garden beds. Homecooked meals are provided three times a day with snacks offered midafternoon and in the evening. Assistance with medication management and personal care is provided.<br>24 hour care is provided with 24 hour RN availability and<b> an unprecedented 3:1 resident to staff ratio</b> between 10 am and 6 pam. Able to care for those after surgery, in hospice, or in need of respite care as well as those who can't or don't want to live alone anymore. This is NOT a facility; it is a HOME. Our motto is "Expect More" and we deliver.<br>The Cottages at Martin Lake II, a Memory Care Home designed for those living with advanced dementia, will open early 2021. It is located next door and will have all the same amenities as above and managed by a Certified Dementia Practitioner.
