They are very friendly and helpful and caring about their residents. It provides a great sense of community! Unfortunately, on many days, the meals in the dining room are not satisfactory (dried out, very spicy, or refried) and have extremely long (45 minutes+) wait times. If the dining service issues get fixed, it would score 5 stars!

According to my mother the food is awful. Also, when she orders room service, they forget her orders, run out of what she orders or delivers them very late. She feels the activities which include music are too short in duration. She also feels the ceilings, floors and walls allow for too much noise to transfer between units. As a whole, the staff has been pleasant and tended to her requests.

The Brooks is much bigger with more of a resort-like feel. It is also a little too far out of San Antonio for our needs as this time.

Be very specific as to what your expectations are. Be sure to talk through all medications and how that will work. If you're going to use the facility physician, it's a big change from what people are already experiencing with their normal medical care. Just be sure to talk through everything with the staff. Things have been a little rocky lately recent changes in staff. The past staff were great. I can't say yet about the new ones.

I toured this community and it was pretty good. It was our second choice. The staff was very friendly. The facility looked good and clean. The activity room and dining area were both nice with lots of windows and felt roomy.

Our loved one was a previous resident here and the staff were great and the activities were great but they kept giving our loved one medicine they did not need and kept overriding us. So if it wasn't sure the medication issue this would of received 5 stars.

The staff is very nice and friendly; the community is very clean. It's like being at home, it gives you a home-feeling and not like you're in a facility. The people there are awesome, I like the idea that they're always doing activities. They've done word trivia, made bird feeder kits, beach ball basketball, painted nails, etc., they do so much stuff. My friends apartment is very nice, we had to provide the furniture. I like idea the there's a window on every side of the room. There are two people in her room, with a wall in between them. There's a window on both sides of the room, unlike a hospital where there's only one window. It's also really bright in her room. I would recommend The Brooks of Cibolo to others!

It feels like home; the friendliness of the staff spills over into the residents as well. When there is a new face or couple in the dining room, many many residents go over to introduce themselves and will even sit down and eat with them - it's that kind of homey feeling. What also stands out to me is the employee(s) at the front desk are always so friendly and welcoming. Whether you're brand new coming in for the first time, or a resident whos been there a while; they always have a friendly greeting and I think that's very very important. We lived somewhere else prior to The Brooks and the difference is, this feels like home and not an organization.

There is some good and some bad about the community. The other residents are friendly, and the community is clean. The food is excellent quality, and the portions are diminishing due to the rising cost of food. Housekeeping is excellent. There was a flood in the community and they haven't address my concerns over my belongings that were destroyed. The meals are based off a point system. There are some questions that go unanswered, and other questions are answered promptly by the staff.

This was a good experience for us. It was in a good location. It had very nice apartments. The staff are friendly. They are prompt in resolving any concerns or answering any of the questions about our friend. There were a lot of activities available for the residents to choose from.

It's a good place, with nice friendly people. My loved one enjoys having lunch with the gals and spending time with the other residents. We've had an overall great experience except for the food and housekeeping. They had a great chef that left, and the new chef is not as good. And I think they need to get some new maids. One of them has a hurt back, so she can't really do things like take out the garbage. She basically just sweeps the floor and wipes around things. She doesn't pick things up and move them to clean anything, which has been kind of frustrating. I feel like we're paying an awful lot of money to not have good food and cleaning services. They've also been charging us late fees when the automatic debit didn't go through on their end. But all in all, it's pretty good place.

Our family had an in person tour and the facility is brand new which was great, but we could hardly see anything going on. We saw no activities, or no activity schedule. We were not told us anything they do for the residents outside of the community like day trips. The people giving us the tour was nice but newer so they had no idea how to answer our questions. It just seemed very unorganized and unprepared.

This is a brand new place and has been open less than a year. My loved one is in the assisted living side of the building. They have very good meals, and a wide variety of activities for the residents to participate in. The staff is friendly and caring. Things have been changing with some staff for example the chef, and the variety of the food could be improved. It would be nice to see more options of sugar free drinks and juices.

We loved this community it was super nice. The main reason we did not go here is because our loved one would have to isolate 14 days when she entered the facility and we would not have been able to visit her. The tour guide was very helpful and we got to talk to residents.
