The proximity of the facility to my home far outweighed my concerns regarding the level of staffing and care. The caregivers and the staff were caring and kind, and truly care about the residents. Unfortunately, this is a small town in a remote area and it is hard to retain good staff. The facility simply doesn’t have enough people. Sometimes I felt that the caregivers were overwhelmed. The activity director is amazing, but she needs an assistant. It would be great if someone with a medical background were on staff as well. These are just my observations. If, heaven forbid, I had to do this all over again, I would still have placed my husband here.
