They had forgotten that my loved one is on the autism scale. So her communication skills are not great. The staff is very friendly. I particularly enjoy their Activities Director. He engages so well with all of the residents. The every day nursing staff is very good and conscientious and get my sister her vitamins and her meds on a schedule that works really well. The meals are quite good, they've had a few that weren't but I would say 90% of them are very good. They offer wonderful alternatives to the residents as well. I just wish the nurse in charge would have been a little more forthcoming and displayed better communication skills with me regarding my sister, that she obviously does not know all that well. By trying to pressure her into speech therapy and what not she actually alienated her to the experience there. I have lived in other communities and toured many. It is the personal touch which 'raises the bar' here. Any community is only as good as the staff and ours is the best! Several times she mentioned that the meat was burnt or so over cooked she couldn't eat it.
