Care Available When You Need it the Most

I will say that one of the things that we probably did not like the most was trying to establish a consistent team of caregivers, which we really wanted so that my loved one would get accustomed to the same people. That was a little bit of a challenge at the beginning, but we got there eventually. My advice would be to be persistent and patient, because they do try very hard to get you those consistent caregivers. It's important to keep open lines of communication, and sometimes it seemed it was hard for them to provide us information when there were schedule changes. So communication is an area they could work on. But I did like the fact that the majority of the caregivers that we worked with were responsive to my loved one's needs, and they seemed to have some background and experience in providing that type of care. They seemed to have a caring and empathetic type of nature. There were a couple that we did not mesh as well with, but we were able to communicate that with the schedulers, and they were able to make those changes for us.... Read more

Life is So Much Easier

I'm very satisfied with Senior Helpers. You should give them a try. They have a CNA on staff who helps with medication, and overall care, light meal cooking, and light housekeeping. My visitor is a wonderful companion, and that is important to me, especially for people living alone.. She will do grocery shopping when necessary.

My families experience

When they were here generally they did a good job, and some of the workers we encountered were nice and very friendly. However they did have some staffing issues, the workers weren't very consistent and we seemed to lose the people we liked working with. We only needed the services for a couple months as a trial and error and we realized we just needed it more for house cleaning, and not for actual care services. Some of the workers did a really good job cleaning.
