To Whom it May Concern:
It is my pleasure to highly recommend Riderville Assisted Living, LL home as a wonderful place for your loved one to reside. My dad, [name removed], Retired Civil Engineer was a resident there for over two years. His dementia became overwhelmingly too difficult for my family to handle alone, and we knew we needed to find a caring place for him to live. We wanted him to have some freedom and flexibility of movement, a place where his friends, I and other family members could visit him comfortably, and where he would be treated with dignity and respect in all areas of his life. Riderville was a blessing!
Every morning Dad prayed for his caregivers at Riderville, and about how blessed he was to live there. [name removed] (the owner as well as a full time registered nurse), along with her compassionate caregivers, [names removed] took great care of Dad’s every need. My family and I were always very impressed at the special attention he was always given. Dad was kept very busy with activities that were fun and stimulated his memory. He enjoyed the delicious and nutritious home cooked meals... immensely, as he dined with several other residents, and gained back weight that was desperately needed.
One Sunday, as I exited from my car parked in the Riderville driveway, and approached the cozy rambler nestled in a very quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac in Laurel, Md. I was suddenly surprised by a most delightful aroma. I imagined I was at an exclusive outdoor, gourmet bakery. In another breath I greeted several residents who were sitting on the front porch, relaxing, gazing at the squirrels and birds, and enjoying the sun as they watched the world go by...and were waiting for [names removed] to finish baking “whatever they were baking this time”. Upon entrance to the home, I learned [name removed] who loved to cook, were baking bread. I also observed how much the residents and my dad enjoyed their baking and meticulously prepared home-made meals!
There were other fun days at Riderville such as the Annual Backyard Family & Friends Cookout … featuring barbecue chicken, grilled hamburgers, exotic Caribbean cuisine: Jamaican beef patties...jerk chicken...plantains, pineapple upside down cake, German Chocolate cake, salads, and freshly baked, homemade bread! Yummy Yummy!
I will always remember my Dad enjoying a ‘slow dance’ with [name removed] during a Xmas celebration, in Riderville’s exquisitely decorated living room. The Xmas tree was absolutely gorgeous and the residents were so delighted to open the lovely, wrapped gifts, presented to them by [names removed]. When we came to visit, my family and I were always made welcome by the staff, and felt we were all part of one big happy family. I always felt very comfortable at their home, knowing that my father as well as the other residents were well watched, loved and secure.
My fathers medical needs were met, with excellent communication with the family on the state of his health and a full recap of the doctor’s visits. [name removed] administered his medicines as prescribed, did all his laundry, changed him, showered and dressed him, and played music for him. They also played games with him, exercised him, and took him on wheelchair rides, outside (even some walks!). This loving environment at Riderville made my dad very happy.
Furthermore, [name removed] maintained all records accurately and confidentially by placing important documentation in the proper files immediately and keeping them locked in a file cabinet. She was always available, approachable, friendly and professional. [name removed] and [name removed]kept a daily log of all supplies and medications , and made certain that my dad did not run out of any necessities.

Good Tour, However Not Good Price For Us
Although we had places to consider the tour was very good and they were prepared for us. The location was not ideal for the whole family and after talking about prices, it was not a good match for our family. They were able to fully answer all of our questions.

Very Happy With Our Experience
My dad is enjoying his environment. He is socializing with everyone. He likes the food and eats way better than before. I think the community is organized and it is kept clean. I would recommend this community.

Assisted living at it's best
My Husband and I had a very hard decision to make concerning the care of my dad. We looked at several places but didn't like any, we didn't know which way to turn or what to do next. My dad's home health care nurse recommended that we call a Place for Mom. That was one of the best phone calls we ever made. We continued our search but when we visited Ms. Mae Anderson at Riderville Laurel, Md we knew our search had ended. Ms. Mae and her care givering team at Riderville were wonderful and we are very pleased with my dad's care.
