She connected wonderfully with my wife and has been such a fantastic help to me as well. There were times when she wanted to be with her family, understandably so, when the manager of the agency was able to have another aid come in without skipping a beat. All the “relief pitchers “ she had come in were very compassionate, caring and competent. Sometimes the main aid, at the last minute, had a problem working on a given day and the manager was very diligent in getting a replacement, for which I was very grateful and impressed. The owner responded to my inquiry promptly and strove to find us the most compatible CNA for our needs. The CNA assigned truly embodied the company name. She was outstanding with my dad, and really formed a bond with him right away. She felt like family. He often listened to her better than to us. She was proactive about repositioning him at regular intervals to avoid pressure sores, did range of motion exercises, took vitals, and very patiently helped him eat and drink slowly and safely. It was a blessing to be able to spend more time with my dad as family members rather than as caregivers. The owner was also proactive about making sure this was a good fit. My brother needs 24 hour care, he has Parkinson's. He lives quite a distance and I work full time. Finding a service that tends to his needs, making sure he takes his medicine on time. Prepares his meals, tidies up, laundry, goes to doctors appointments with him. It is a peace of mind you have. He can still get around with use of his walker but some things aren't as easy for him to do. But the things he was able to do, he did. Knowing she was there to assist if needed was a great burden lifted off of us. A fall could be detrimental for a Parkinson's patient. Just knowing she was there for any emergency and could be trusted was a god-send. The communication was excellent. She always checked in with me, letting me know how he's doing etc. The care he received was very good and I would highly recommend.
