I ate some of the food when i was able to visit and i thought it was pretty good. It looked like great quality and there was more then enough in portion sizes. They did make an effort to keep activities going, but due to our loved ones health they were not able to participate, we also thought the value was fair. a good place to live with friendly and helpful staff. due to Covid, the food has not been good recently.
It felt like nursing home during the tour and was too expensive for us.
This community was not quite as good as the main community that I went with. My main choice just stood out too much for me to go with the other.

There are some issues that I don't like, but that I think that has to do with COVID. I think it will be changing after the pandemic. The independent living and assisted living used the same dining room and that stopped for a bit. The community is starting to open the dining room back open for small groups again. They still don't mix the assisted living and independent communities. There aren't good choices for residents that are outside the normal dietary options. The community has gone through a few cooks. The food will sometimes arrive late. I am hoping after COVID this will improve. The activities were great when my loved one first started. However, COVID has canceled a lot of the activities available.
My mom was at Monticello park in Longview for a very short time less than a month and passed away the end of July a beautiful place but not very happy with her care while she was there
They are family friendly. They want to be sure the residents families feel welcome. The staff are super helpful, really understanding, and try to resolve any issues we've had. We chose that community because of cost and the location is central in the middle of town. I would definitely recommend this community to other families.
The town this community is in is home. It's great for me. The staff and care are great. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been quarantined in our rooms. The staff is clearly doing their best to entertain us and keep us safe. They have set up activities in the hall at safe distances so we can interact and engage with each other. I love it and am happy here!
We were so happy to find this lovely community through A Place for Mom. My parents moved in and have settled just fine. The facility is beautiful (like a hotel honestly), the people are friendly and helpful, and the activities are plentiful. Pricing is excellent. Couldn't be happier.
You must be VERY careful about what you sign and agree to. We were not told that you pay EXTRA for every little thing such as being reminded to go to dinner, cleaning your glasses, etc. Anything they advertise, such as transportation to and from dr. appointments, you are charged extra.
Excellent facilities, exercise room & new plans for van service to YMCA for Senior Sneakers water acrobatics. Good food, friendly & cheerful staff and residents.
My mother is a resident in the assisted living side. She has a nice one bedroom space, with a small kitchenette. She has been on the independent living side also. The space at this place is great; large, lots of storage, and well laid out. She is now getting assistance with her meds, which seems to be going well. However. The food here is the quality of a marginal diner. The service is largely grudging, with a few actually trying to interact with residents. Personal hygiene of the staff, optional. Front desk staff, variable. Prepare for rude indifference. Since I am an old child of an older parent, I guess I look like I could live there. Recently, only one bright, capable woman treated me with some interest and respect. I don’t like the idea that old people might not interest the staff...!Not Finally, although there is a level of cleaning provided, it appears to involve partially emptying trash, and vacuuming the middle of the carpet. The bathroom floor was very dirty, under the bed (even a little way) and other stuff was dirty, too. Unfortunately, I live several hours away and can’t run down at will. Normally, my sister steps in and keeps up, but she has been ill, which means this time we see how it would go if there was no or little family support. Conclusion, this place isn’t awful, but compared to a few years ago, it’s disappointing. Since staff reflects management, I’m guessing the problem lies at the top. After all, its hard to expect the best from people who make low wages, who’s clientele can be difficult, and who are unsupported with training, enough staffing, and good working conditions.
I really liked the Prestige Senior Living Monticello Park community. It is like a grand hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful and large community. We chose another community that was a smaller community and less intimidating for my dad.
The food is excellent however, the service in the dining room is very poor.
Not happy with Monticello Park in Longview. My mom is living there and not receiving good care. No one is looking after her personal needs. When I visited her it was as if she had not showered in awhile, her clothes were dirty, and her toenails were very long. She also had not had a haircut. I had dinner with her and the food was terrible. The staff our rude with giving me only yes or no answers with no explanations are introductions to who they are. I will move my mother as soon as I am able too.
The people who operate the Prestige Senior Living have been wonderful. The food is good. We are very happy. I can't rate the care services because it does not apply to us because my loved one is in independent living. Overall this is a great facility and we are very happy! I would recommend this place.
People from the facility were very helpful in getting everything set up to get my aunt moved in. They only have one person that does maintenance for the whole facility and they need more. My aunt is happy.
My experience with Prestige Senior Living has not been perfect, but the people are very friendly, and encouraging. The staff gets to my loved one immediately when she pushes the button. The food is good, and overall I'm satisfied. I would recommend Prestige Senior Living to others.
My brother and I toured this community. It was a beautiful facility. They may not have enough staff. A family friend had an unpleasant experience with the staff there that influenced our decision. We went with a community that had more staff available.
Like it. No mention of cost. Washer/dryer hookup in some aprts.
