Residential Care Home
October 30, 2015

My aunt is living in Prestige Care Home. She used to fall often. We had to move her to several locations until we found this one. She is well taken care of. There are plenty of aids to watch her. She is well fed, safe and happy. This place smells clean and they are professional and friendly

Prestige Proclaims to Care for Patient/Client upto a Comatose Stage and in less than 30 Days Removes Client/Patient

The owner/manager of the facility has a very detailed contract. She advised that her facility was able to care for dementia and Alzheimer's patients/clients and could even care for patients/clients up to the point of being comatose. It was explained that this patient/client could walk but with assistance, needed assistance with daily dressing, bathing, and meal preparation but could feed herself, and medication oversight and that the dementia/Alzheimer's patient/client, as typical with this type of patient/client, has combative issues. Prestige was paid $2200.00 for the first month and the patient was sent to the hospital by Prestige and while at the hospital, Prestige communicated to the hospital within hours of the patient/client being admitted that the patient/client could not return because she was "total care". It was highly unprofessional and underhanded to accept a client who needed all of the above care and who was not comatose and then 911 transport and advise the hospital of the contract termination, when the hospital was not a party to the contract. Prestige did refund the unused portion of the monthly contact. I would definitely not recommend Prestige based on this experience.
