<h3>Living Options and Amenities</h3>
<p>At Nicole’s, we want everyone’s individual personalities to shine and allow residents to decorate and furnish their rooms as they wish. We enable you to maintain your dignity and privacy, and offer your choice of six private rooms, with the option of private bathrooms as well. Units are designed for ease of movement and accessibility for those with limited mobility. Wheelchair-accessible units and bathrooms are available if desired. All utilities are included in the cost, including heating, air conditioning, cable TV, and internet. For the safety of all residents, our home is secured with WanderGuard capabilities to ensure everyones’ whereabouts. We are proud to offer stay options for visiting family members, and pets are welcome in your new home, as well!</p>
<h3>Dining Amenities</h3>
<p>Our dining area has a spacious open floor plan, perfect for everyone to gather as a family. We provide all our residents with three meals a day, plus snacks in between. With such a small occupancy, it is easy for us to accommodate dietary restrictions and personal preferences. We are happy to individualize our meals to make you or your loved one as comfortable and healthy as possible.</p>
<h3>Common Areas</h3>
<p>All common areas, indoor and out, are designed for accessibility to accommodate our low-mobility residents. Flow, fun, and functionality are what our spaces are focused on. Our indoor areas include a large front living space and dining room, where our residents can sit and relax, maybe watch a favorite movie or show together, or participate in social activities or games. Outdoor common areas are also a favorite place for our residents to gather. Our delightfully landscaped front lawn, with a lush, green yard and colorful flowers, is a nice place to kick back and take in the pleasant neighborhood surroundings. The front and back yards are fully gated, to ensure the comfort and safety of all. Our backyard is complete with a shaded patio that is just perfect for cookouts and barbecues.</p>

<p>We have an activities and games room to encourage socializing between residents. Fancy yourself a movie fan? You’ll love our home theatre system. We also have movement and exercise programs, and our home is complete with gym equipment. Computer learning classes are also available to encourage the use of technology. We are also proud to offer pet therapy on-site for our animal-loving residents. At Nicole’s, we love to host parties and celebrations of all kinds, both indoors and out. We are always striving to nurture everyones’ individual hobbies and encourage the discovery of new ones. Our staff works thoughtfully to plan all activities according to the individual life experiences and interests of our residents.</p>
<h3>Personal Services</h3>
<p>There are many convenient amenities offered to residents of Nicole’s. Transportation services are available, with a large van used for both special and routine outings. We offer transport for medical appointments, shopping trips, devotional services, or anything you or your loved one requests. Public transportation is also nearby for our more independent residents. Select devotional services are provided on-site, along with beauy and grooming services – perfect for those who like to stay manicured from head to toe every day of the week. Laundry and housekeeping are also provided to all residents, as cleanliness is always a priority at our home. We train our caring staff to listen to all our residents' individual personal needs in an effort to serve everyone to our best ability.</p>
<h3>Local Area</h3>
<p>Our neighborhood is conveniently located near plenty of options for shopping, dining, medical care, and beautiful parks. West Minnehaha Neighborhood Park is only a couple of blocks away, with its peaceful walking path for enjoying a brisk morning stroll. We are also close to the larger Arnold Park and its abundance of foliage, birds, and scenic walking path along the Burnt Bridge Creek. Local community centers offer many opportunities to join interest clubs and activity groups, for example, the Clark County Genealogical Society is only a short distance away. The Vancouver Mall is also nearby, for any of your shopping or dining needs. Our neighborhood is home to several churches as well, spanning a number of denominations.</p>
<h3>Medical Care Services</h3>
<p>At Nicole’s Adult Care Home, we have staff present throughout the day to address any immediate needs of our residents. We have registered nurses on staff to oversee all medical and healthcare needs, and to train the rest of our staff to provide the safest and most attentive care. Our staff members are able to assist any residents in need with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating. Staff are versed in the usage of the Hoyer Lift for transfers, and are properly trained to provide feeding tube management, catheter care, and incontinence care. Our home is not licensed by the state to offer medication dispensing services, however residents are supported in their self-medication efforts and may schedule medication reminders if desired. We do provide medication administration to residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia. On-site hospice care is provided, when needed. Our home also offers respite care – a short-term stay – perfect for those recovering from a hospital visit, the interim during which a caregiver takes an extended vacation, or simply to experience a senior living trial period.</p>
<p>Visiting medical services are provided by an on-call doctor, who is available to handle adjustments in medication, offer consultation, and respond to any urgent medical needs that arise. Specialized occupational therapists also make regular house visits and are available to residents to aid development, recovery, improvements, and maintenance of skills needed for daily living. We regularly receive visits from a podiatrist to ensure our residents are comfortable, fit, and mobile, and speech therapy services are provided by trained and certified speech pathologists.</p>
<p>We offer services for Disorientation and/or lack of awareness issues to ensure residents are well-directed and supported in a healthy lifestyle. We make sure all our residents' needs are addressed and personalized for their maximum comfort and safety. Anxiety caused by Alzheimer's disease and dementia may cause individuals to wander, and so our facility features locked and secured grounds with WanderGuard capabilities to ensure the safety of all. Our caring and gentle staff is specially trained in de-escalating and safely responding to any behavioral episodes that occur.</p>
<h3>Care Types Offered</h3>
<p>Nicole’s Adult Care Home is licensed as an <em>Adult Family Home</em>, which is defined as a facility that provides assistance with daily activities, health support services, and intermittent nursing services for two to six residents.
