Our mother was diagnosed with dementia and it got to the point where she could no longer live alone. We were looking for a place where mom would feel more at home and not lost in a large facility. New Hope came highly recommended to us and luckily they had an opening when we needed them. The facility is more like a home and was always clean. The staff and management team were always helpful and caring towards our mom and all others that lived in the facility. If you are looking for a place for a loved one, and want to feel assured that they will be taken care of just like they were family, then we would highly recommend New Hope Assisted Living.... I loved the way the [name removed] have made this facility into a beautiful home for any family member. After talking to [name removed] I know this would be a place my mother would be taken care of like family. It is beautiful and clean. The home has a picturesque patio and the dinning area is roomy. I also like the 24/7 care she would receive. This is a top contender!

I liked the facility, but the other residents appeared much more advanced in their dementia. All were wearing bibs, and many seemed to need significant assistance with feeding.
A Place For Mom for gave us options and made our search easy within the perimeter of that area we were looking in. When I got here the owner was not there. The staff called to see if they were coming but the husband stopped by instead. It was a nice tour but he referred all my questions. Not the right fit for mom.
My mother is doing very well, she still wants to go home but it is where she needs to be and they take care of her. Everything is great, I love New Hope Assisted Lviing and I have become friends with the caregivers, they are very nice and caring.
The environment was not as cheerful as other places I toured. The residents were all lined up in lazy boy chairs watching tv and it was dark. There is nothing wrong with that, it would be a good fit for someone else, b ut it was not for my mother. Everyone was very friendly.
I am very happy with the care my mom is getting. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The community is very clean and taken care of. The food is very good and the activities are wonderful. I would highly recommend this care for other families with loved ones.
My dad has been at New Hope for a month now. Despite his severe dementia he adjusted to the move and seems to enjoy the "family" atmosphere (as opposed to the larger institution where he was previously). I like that he is encouraged to just sit back and nap on the couch alongside others in the living area instead of having to stay in his room. Owners Elena and John are onsite, available, and interacting with the residents. Most importantly the staff is stable so they learn how to communicate with each resident, and residents are surrounded with familiar people instead of constant turnover. Elena was especially helpful in making moving day run smoothly.
The owner is fabulous. I was very impressed with her, she went out of her way to keep us informed. The community is very clean, and nice. They had good food and most of the workers are wonderful. There was one worker there that I felt was less than compassionate, and quite honestly came off a little cold. I feel like this caused an issue with my loved one, between that and the medication they put him on, this was not a good fit for my loved one. I feel like if your loved one is fairly docile, and doesn't want to leave, or have any aggression, then this would be an ideal place. I would still recommend it, even if it didn't work out for us. My mom said that this is where she wants to go if she ever needs it.
I don't know much about activities because my wife was there when she had severe dementia. I like that the place was closest to home. There was space available, it was highly recommended. The place was immaculate and very nice. We were very pleased with the service down there. We found them very compassionate, understanding, and helpful.
The layout is fine to me. They do not have a dementia unit. She shares a room and there is no kitchen in her room. All of the eating is done in the dining room.
The care seems to be great. My mom has been there for 3 weeks and when I go she's dressed, she's clean, she's been fed and her bed is made. She's being well taken care of - much more than I could do my myself and that's what I was looking for. My mom is mourning the loss of her spouse so she is not showing any interest in the activites right now but when I go there are other ladies doing activities like puzzles, bingo, and cross stitching. The staff seems very caring and very understaning of the level of ability of the residents. It's very clean - you could eat off the floor over there!
Nice and clean. Roomy common area and really pretty and peaceful outdoor area. Need to visit again.
Toured 5-3-13 + indiv. BRs. + G tubes. Building new wing, ~ 3 mos (July/Aug). Requested Waiting List for pvt w/setting area. Best fit - most like home.
Really like this facility...patients are always dressed...don't like the fact that the phone is not answered on a consistent basis.
Cost determined by amount of care needed. Two dogs. Rooms have own bath, community shower.
Facility was beautiful and clean. No fenced area for outdoor activity although all doors were on alarms.
